According to the Amazon intro (only on ep2) Gazzaniga drives a vintage Mustang, just when you thought he couldn't get everyone any wetter...

If this means Whiteman or Austin having to stay as third choice and not get any football This season I am against this.

Well we could certainly do with the money but I'm very much in two minds about this one. The idea of Hart as a solidified number 2 worries me more than I care for. Totally unconvinced that he's up to such a standard anymore. By contrast, though he may not be top class, I do not feel worry when Gazza is on the pitch.

Villa were linked to Man U’s Romero the other day.
Didn't Romero have an excellent season last season, deputising for De Gea when he was out of form? I'd be properly pissed in his shoes to then see Henderson come back and drop even further down the pecking order. Romero got 39 clean sheets in 61 games, and 96 caps for Argentina - way too good for a third keeper

Sure we can get a cheap older HG free keeper who would be happy to be third choice, such as Grant with Man utd, Carson with City

By all accounts we are paying £15m for one of the best right backs in the League from a team who only finished below us on goal difference. Your valuation of £10-15m for Gazzaniga is beyond wild.

the difference though is levy buying versus levy selling.

I’d be shocked if we got less than $200 million for Gazza

Gazza is a decent back-up GK, and it is uncertain if Hart will be up to it or not.
However, it seems like we currently cannot afford a new striker without selling someone first.
So if it is a choice between keeping Gazza or a new striker, the latter has to be our priority IMO.
Especially since it currently seems uncertain if we can actually get a deal for the likes of Aurier, Foyth and Rose.

Where are you seeing that we lack funds?

Maybe Gazza fancies himself as first choice somewhere?
