Playing decent football and get the last season's signings integrated.
Anything else is a bonus.

I'd just like to see some decent football and signs that we are progressing and actually have some sort of long term plan.

I honestly can't see us seriously challenging for CL places until the new stadium is built and we a on a better financial footing that allows us to compete with the big boys.

Football is all about momentum. Teams hit patches of form and all of a sudden all bets are off. While fun it is utterly pointless predicting anything until we see how the squad shapes up and how much poch can get out of them.
One of the problems with harry was that his go out and play approach would always be likely to lose a game and the momentum that goes with not losing.
If Poch can get us playing and not losing, I know it seems obvious but winning 3 and drawing 2 is better than winning 4 and losing 1 from a momentum perspective, then we could very well challenge the top 4.

Ultimately this is where a manager earns his money, getting more out of his players through tactics, management, motivation etc. To get in the top 4 at the moment we will need a manager who can get more points than the squad's quality would suggest.

Pool have a good side but Suarez is a massive loss, man u have a new manager and will need half a new team. There certainly is a chance for us as only chelsea, city and the scum are virtually certain to finish above us.

Is poch the man? We will soon find out...

Challenge for 4th and progress with the style of the side.
I agree with the second part. I would ultimately be happy with playing good, attacking and aggressive football. If we do that then the rest should follow.

Is how I predict the league to end up. Id be happy with that too i must say, as long as we played some good football, beat a couple of the other contenders, and handed out a few whippings to the relegation fodder clubs.

I'd love us to go far in the Europa League, and we have the talent for it, but we just cant seem to get past the 1/4s in the damn thing. Its engrained in the club that its a pisspoor second rate cup, cant see that changing yet.

Fourth isn't an achievement, I hate this (very bloody English) aspiration for mediocrity.

This season should be a race for the Europa League, the objective should be to win the damned thing and then mercilessly take the piss out of whichever English team missed out on Champions League qualification

Spot on. At this point, I don't see any teams in the Europa league that are clearly better than us. There are Inter, Fiorentina, Everton, Wolfsburg, Villareal, Sociedad, Mochengladbach, but that's about it. If we have to beat 2-3 of those to win the thing, then I definitely would fancy us. As usual there will be the Benficas and Portos dropping down from the CL, just hopefully not City or Liverpool who will both quite likely have tough groups.

Going to be interesting but I am definitely optimistic that we can do it. Plus it will be far more exciting than a Premier League battle for 4th.

That will change if we begin viewing it as our ticket into the Champions League. Believe me, we would see a lot more ambition to win it.

Finish anywhere between 4th-7th....hoping for fourth obviously but not expecting.

Just because you don't expect it doesn't mean you don't aim for it though.
He is possibly the first tottenham manager in a long time where 4th isn't expected of him, will be interesting whether we thrive under that

For me it's the race to becoming an entertaining team again. To be the sort of team I want to support.
.

If play well as a team and get to see the likes of Eriksen and Lamela showcasing their ability I'll be happy. If I can really look forward to our next game, I'll be happy. If we can compete in the cups for the pure enjoyment of seeing us try to win something without getting bogged down by how much the financial rewards are I'll be ecstatic.

We were depressingly demoralizingly boring after Harry went. To the point it became I chore to watch. But we are slaves to the spurs Are we not....

The Title.

You aim for for the Premier league Title. If you don't, you are making up numbers for the big boys.

There is no shame in not winning it, but there is shame in not trying.

I'd like to see some passion and some consistent performances, tied in with a better more solid defense, flowing/fighting midfield and attacking play that scores.

As for positional sense in the league, another from 6th upwards. It's going to be a tough task though.

City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and United have all stregthened this pre-season, and whilst we fully understand how that can have a negative impact (maybe liverpool buying up many many players), these teams tend to know how to get results.

So anything higher than 6th would be a super season.

EL offers a CL place this year - why not go for it?

But otherwise, I'd love a cup final (even if it's the coca cola cup!).

Winning the EL hence qualifying for the CL, failing that to qualify for the EL as a minimum again....

I have to admit I would love us to have a proper go at the EL this year. Surely the players would be far more up for it now that the prize has changed

In absolute terms I agree but.......
Success in football is not just about domestic completions any more. Fame and fortune (worldwide) come from winning CL and even EL
As they say you have to be init to win it. That makes 4th spot a valuable achievement

For me this season winning the EL would be the goal, finishing in the top 4 number 2 priority and then the domestic cups depending on the success of the first two

The qualification for CL from EL winners makes 5 places up for grabs.

At this point of time we are level with the big money teams so I still go into the season hoping for a miracle of winning the league

Top four will be City, Chelsea, Arsenal and either United or Liverpool.

We'll be fighting for 6th with Everton and one other.

We'll probably finish 7th because we won't score enough goals.
