People do realise If we do win this game the next round is when most of our squad are at the world Cup, so will have to play our youngsters and fringe players. So free hit tonight mayswell play them tonight.
I think it was mentioned in another thread that anyone who doesn't make it as far as the World Cup QF's should be back with the squad by the time the League Cup 4th Round takes place.

Would they not need a little break though?

Final RO16 game is 6th December, League Cup 4th Round is 20th/21st/22nd December, so they should get 2 weeks minimum.
Guess they could be on the bench at the very least. Hopefully if we do go through tonight we get an "easier" home tie.

Forster, Doherty, Skipp, Sanchez, Bryan, Royal, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Spence, Tanganga, Lucas, Lenglet, and Bissouma - all will have 6 weeks off. All will benefit from a competitive match before the league starts back up.

Son - is likely to be done by the Group stage - December 2 - if he plays.

First knockout round is done by December 6

Quarter Finals are done by December 10

So anyone who loses then will have a bit of a break - and even then, it only impacts a player if they have been playing every match for their country. Any player who gets called up, but is a part-time player - like Sarr, or maybe Dier - will not be overworked.

If the line up that was posted is the actual line up we put out im genuinely baffled by why we are playing both our LWB when we have Leeds at 3 on Saturday. I also feel like Gil has done enough in the CL to warrant a start in a cup game. Even if not Gil play Lucas, or both. Idk, we have so many games coming up, why not at least give a few more chances.

Forster
Tanganga Sanchez Davies
Spence Skipp Bissouma Sessegnon
Devine Kane Gill

Id take Kane off at halftime regardless and bring on Deki. Richy for 15-20 at the end. With our injuries I dont see how we cant go near full strength and have any chance of getting any sort of result

Most of our squad is not going to the WC...

And, many of the players who are going will be back well in advance.

I would expect Richarlison, Romero, and Lloris to miss the next cup game (much like they are not going to start in this game). I could see Kane not starting, even if England goes out in RD16 or quarters. Everyone else should be available, absent a deep run in the WC for Denmark, Croatia or Uruguay

Kane wont play surely? he is effectively our only fit striker. Id have him on the bench though as id like to win this, lets not forget we will most likely strengthen in January so we will have a fit squad when the games come thick and fast after.

That is way stronger than I thought. Im not even thinking about the world cup but more Leeds on the weekend. Im surprised by no Spence as would have been good to see him but surprised by the likes of PEH, Dier, Kane then again we dont have any strikers

I will say - the style of football we play is not overly taxing physically - so I don't think it should impact Leeds.

I'd still like to see Kane, Hojbjerg and Perisic out early though.
