This is the sort of game Son struggles in when there’s no space to run into might suit Moura better for all his limitations

1. Burnley press like hell.
2. We need a new right back. Everything breaks down when it goes out wide to him.

Bergwijn for Royal would be my choice sub. But Doherty Second choice, cause some havoc by getting into the box.

This is our problem. The ability to create openings at pace. We just don't have the intelligence in the team.
The problem is out wide. Might as well defend us as narrowly as possible with Emerson and Sess at WB which then limits space for Kane, Son etc and makes it difficult for the midfield to find them. Some proper wing backs on either side and suddenly opponent has to get out to them, switch of plays become effective and the space opens up.

Risky to bring on wingers there this early but should be done on 70-75 if it's still 0-0.

Perish the thought that we'd like to watch someone talk about *our* game in half time. I know it's been shit but why are we watching week-old highlights of a totally different match?

Nothing in it. The difference is we've played badly and they've payed well by their standards. If we can introduce any modicum of quality in the second half we'll win this.

Left side : Sessegnon wont take on anyone and Son wont make the overlapping runs either. Both pedestrian.

Right side : Kulusevski taking some great position in pocket but Emerson is playing in a alternate universe where he doesnt see Kulusevski

Sessegnon and Emerson just ain't good enough for this system. None of them have been really bad today by any means just clear and obvious they're not good enough.
Don’t usually post ‘negative’ responses. But I think sess is decent

have to give credit to burnley - they've played well and they have been intent to cut down spaces and press spurs quite high at times. we did come back into it towards the end of the half tho. i expect us to move the ball faster in 2nd half and we should create some spaces as burnley players did seem to tire out towards the end of the half - still all to play for! COYS!

Neither WB gives the threat we need
But maybe Emerson gives a bit of aerial cover we might need.
I doubt anything changes at HT, maybe Bergwijn for Sess after 60

Sess has been tidy enough but not very progressive, just safe. Maybe it's a confidence thing but I would like to see him be a bit more adventurous.

This is why I enjoy watching Reguilon. He's a risky player and does some stupid things but he's 100mph, fully committed and he's fun to watch.
