I firmly believe we have a quality squad with many players from whom we have yet to see their full potential and players who have individually shown great form this season. We also have a healthy mix of experience and youth and over the last two seasons particularly we have seen Development Squad players move up to the First Team and put in promising performances.

Doesn't really sound as if he is going to invest too much on new players this summer.
He did say in another statement that we will "strengthen in key positions"

No mention of Tim. Goodbye Sherwood. We don't need an upheaval of players just a max of 3 in certain positions.

Yet the same day Levy is complaining about the stadium and the players and the football, Joe Lewis, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, is the 26th richest man in Britain (and one of the richest Brits), has a fortune worth £3.35billion and has gained £150m in the last year.

Do we see any investment in the playing squad?

No.

Tbf he put in £40m to be turned into equity. Tbh if we had an owner putting investment in I'd rather it be into the stadium

that's not the usual confident DL statement. Go get us a top notch manager to start with and no ''could be a good manager in the long run'' attitude. With a very good and proven manager everything around him will improve drastically from players to coaching to winning mentality.

and yes we need EL football at WHL.

I don't know how many times this needs to be said dude, Joe Lewis and his Company are an investment company. This is not a plaything. He will never plough millions of his own money into the club. It's not what he is about.

We saw 'reinvestment' - 7 players worth of it and our transfer record broken 3 times.

How many more players would you have liked?

"...forced to make managerial changes".

Not for me Levy - it was the wrong call at the wrong time and the rest, as they say is history.

Roll on 2014/15!

I would say that he's implying he feels the right manager can get more out of the and get them playing as a team

Fine by me. A nice quiet summer with a few out to boost the coffers and a couple of key positions attended too is all we need IMO.

This statement means nothing to me, essentially Levy is saying we have to suck it up and move on. Great, yes i agree with that but now is the part i am worried about. Make the wrong choice now Levy and all the positive work that has been happening at the club over the last number of years will be completely lost. Time will tell, Levy don't screw it up this time please!

That could mean two things though, AvB didn't look happy for weeks, perhaps he wanted to go as much as Levy wanted him to go?

No mention of either of them.

You know Daniel, if you end every managerial era barely on speaking terms, maybe the problem isn't them.

Our challenge now is to ensure we are in the best possible position for the start of next season -

Surely the responsibility for this lies with Levy for this to happen he needs to either sack Tim within the next week or do the unthinkable and come out and say he is backing him (which judging by his brief statement doesn't sound like he is going to do)…. Presuming he is going to sack Tim then he needs to get the new manager installed quickly unlike when he sacked Harry if i remember rightly the season had been over for nearly a month before we sacked Harry and then it was another 3/4 weeks until we appointed AVB. Also if he is serious about being in the best possible position to start the season then for once lets not mess about in the transfer market once the new manager is installed or Tims been backed bring in the targets the manager wants ASAP lets not wait till the season has already started to do the majority of our business!

I'm not sure what people expect here. The chairman can't criticise personnel, but he has been pretty frank in his assessment - and conveys the frustration we've all felt. If you can read anything between the lines, it is that Tim is a goner.

Much will now depend on who we retain and who goes, as well as the calibre and experience of a new manager.

He didn't say anything in his statement that we didn't already know.
