Lego Pep has this one sewn up, they will be spawning all over him for beating City
Certainly hope not, they only drew with Chelsea and arteta got himself booked again and will be suspended for the Sheffield Utd game. So giving manager of the month to a suspended manager does not send out the correct message.

I would think Emery has a good chance for manager of the month if they get a result at the weekend. I'm not sure they will want to reward Ange again. Have to win this game though for him to have a chance. No point talking about that until after the game really. This could be tough if we don't show close to our best at least. I hope that the fact Ange wasn't happy with the 2nd half Monday it will have the players more determined for this one. If all Mondays starters come through fit we should win.

This resting players malarky has cost us so many times. Go big at every opportunity, fuck game time for the fringeables. Especially this season where fixture pressure is very low. Half the fuckers weren't up to it when they had their chance anyway. I'd rather it bit us on the arse going for it than watching the 'bit part' players stroll around like Fulham away where we went out of another cup 'resting' players. It's up to those players to show their quality when they get the chance, not be coaxed or nannied into it :D

Yeah no resting, full strength. Palce have only scored once in 4 home games this season in the league, we need to go there and attack from the off. Plus why would we need to rest players when we don't play Chelsea until 9 days after the Palace game?

My only concern is Bissouma picking up another yellow and consequently missing the Chelsea game.

But we know Ange by now is brave and backs his lads. For crying out loud… he played Royal at LB with Udogie came off. Who does that?

Biss will start, as he will be fresh. Sarr will hopefully be fully recovered from his illness. Can’t see Johnson starting. Doesn’t look ready or confident. He had the familiar ‘Sess’ in the headlights look about him when he was subbed on — which is totally reasonable given his issue is hamstring related. Hopefully four or five games off the bench will help him regain that confidence.

Can't worry about another game when we have one to play before that. If we rest Bissouma and drop points against Palace then it will be "why didn't we go full strength".

Selhurst will be rocking on a Friday night under the lights. I'm expecting a very tough game even with them missing some key players.

They aren't doing well in front of goal at the moment and that result against Newcastle should spark a reaction from them. That added to the quick turn around for our lads and the fact that Palace can really dig in and sit deep when required makes me think it will be a 0-0.

I'd argue we would miss Biss against a team like Palace more (who are quite good defensively and might sit back) than Chelsea tbf

I'm definitely expecting him to play

I would like to see Lo Celso start to give Maddison a bit of a break. Lo Celso needs game time and we have a pretty tough run coming up, it would be nice to see him get some match sharpness. With Bissouma back I would also start Hojbjerg and give Sarr a rest. Where we have the depth we should use it.
Yes we've been used to losing in recent times but why do you want to go back to it? I want to keep winning.

Saw this earlier - always makes me smile thinking about this goal.

What I remember most about that is that the play started with a long volleyed cross to Eriksen IIRC, who headed it to Dele. The ball was touched five times by three different players including the shot, without ever touching the ground until it bounced into the goal. Skillz.
