He should be in with the senior squad, teaching Bob how to move, finish, well, do anything really.

Is there even anyone left in the development squad right now? U18s are playing in Malaysia, Onomah, Winks, etc. training with the first team.

We are not going to shift Ade or Soldado easily, so if we are waiting for that to happen before we do something then we are screwed! Ade has vanished and well fair play anyone that still thinks Soldado will come good. Kane can not be expected to go rest of season on all fronts staying fit and without dip. Defoe is a provern short term answer, even a few years older he still brings a variety of goals that could prove vital.

Defoe doesn't suit what pochettino would probably want in a striker but then neither is Soldado. You'd think Defoe would do better than. Soldado though really.

But it was reported yesterday that he wanted £80k a week to sign for hull, although I guess that's different from a loan. However it sounds like he's had enough of Canada and wants to return to England. He's infuriating but would be a good signing for 3/4 of the league.

We'd need to shift soldado or Ade probably first. I'd swap Soldado for Defoe for 5 months no problem.

Why do we have to shift Ade or Soldado first? Not that I particularly want to re-sign Defoe, but why can't we get someone else off the wage bill instead if we want to sign another striker?

I think we are a very effective unit with Kane playing in the number 10 role, so Defoe playiing ahead of him could be a good combination. I know that means moving Erisken out wide maybe but all players cant play every game. Defoe would give us a good short term option. And he'd be more of a goal threat than Soldado.
And with Kane and Defoe for the fans to cheer on, the place would be rocking.

Having 4 strikers on out books when we play with one is bad business and not how Levy works at all.

Bad business, but better for our football team.

Besides, one of our strikers doesn't even make the squad anymore so I'd argue that would still only be 3 strikers.

Just as well, Defoe wouldn't pass to any of them anyway

Lambert? Really?

Why would Liverpool allow that, first of all? And second, he has been abject there anyway, what does it say us taking him on?

Agree I haven't seen him play for them, but he isn't exactly on form (based on the stats) so why would we want another striker short of confidence? Are we starting some kind of support group. In theory he is a better fit than Defoe though...
