All this talk made me want to try and sign him on my Fifa career mode at the start of a new season - but turns out he went to ‘Piemonte Calcio’ in January, so he won’t move again until next Jan.

I have Josef Martínez as my backup striker. His digital version works well for me ?

Lol, no chance levy pulls a stunt like this in January. The financials don’t make sense so the move wouldn’t even get to the in tray.

Can only see a smidge of this happening is if we get to deadline day and PSG run out of options to flog him and we get him on loan.

But most likely he'll end up at Utd/A. Madrid.

The lift this would give everyone in the squad would be massive.

But it's not happening.

I'm waiting for the Cavani "It was a no-brainer to get the chance to play alongside Kieron Trippier" quote :cautious:

Considering Utd now need a striker, I would say they’re a more realistic destination for Cavani than us.

This just isn’t a Levy signing at all. And I don’t mean that as a criticism.

Atletico already have Morata Felix and Costa, and yet are bidding for Cavani. They also generate less annual revenue than us.

Absolutely no excuse not to get involved given our other options imo but obviously we won't because "we don't do these sort of deals".

The guy will command massive wages. There will be a few big clubs interested, there's better value out there. Can't see Levy going for this.

It doesn't have to be Cavani, but we have to stop the nonsense of having just one, or even two, senior strikers to choose from.

Until the club gets new owners whom are wanting success on the pitch there’s not much point paying attention to what the club are up to from a footballing perspective. We’re going backwards at a rate of knots and more importantly, the draconian decision makers are doing the square root of f’all to turn it around. We hear both Lewis and Levy are Spurs fans but when it comes to football matters they’re both completely clueless.

Do you remember the days when we had Berbatov, Keane, Defoe and even Bent? options and competition. These days we’ve an injury prone Kane and no one else... it’s an absolute joke.

I assume the problem would be that he is on more than Kane. If we give him big wages then it fucks up our wage structure and all our other big wage earners will be asking for payrises.

He would be perfect for us but I only see him ending up at Atletico. He is Simeone’s perfect striker.
