I hope that he will fall in love with Holtby and come to us permanently

Levy only does loan deals if there is an agreed buy out clause at the end of the loan period.

I read that about him a few years back. Makes sense otherwise why would we be interested if we had to give him back after we furthered his career.

His contract looks like it's up in a year, don't see how a loan makes sense for Bayern unless they've completely given up on him.

That or we pay quite a large loan fee for it to make some sense for Bayern to do such a deal.

Sounds like a very promising and versatile midfielder, and perfect understudy to Sandro.

We all love Steffen Freund for being the loveable madcap that he is, and if this is a signing based on his
assessment of the player it shows his opinion must be regarded / trusted and to me thats pretty cool.

I spoke to a Bayern fan and he is rated highly but no chance of breaking into their BL team in the near future.

Big, strong and fast and at 17 he was captain of their U/21 team.

Further info is that 2 of Bayerns mids are expected to leave in the next few years and they see this kid going out on loan as a formality. But as far as having a buy out clause he reckons there would be little or no chance as they see him as part of thier top level team in a few yers.

Levy will do well to get them to agree to a buy out clause so from what I know about Dan the man this may seem unlikely but I never say never.

On the plus side he is good pals with Holtby and although he is Turkish born, he plays in the German U/21 team with Holtby.

If this is likely, Holtby could be the key.

LOLZ

Saw some Bjaerne dude using SC ITK on fb. But the comments are great. Some Spurs dude reckons Can is too young to be 1st infront of Sandro or Dembele... WHO SAID HE WOULD BE?! Twats who can't read shouldn't be allowed to respond

By the sounds of it, this lad has talent, but based on the calibre of players infront of him at Bayern, just maybe he is being allowed to move on. It's not like he is struggling to breakthrough at some tinpot struggling team, we are talking about the European Champions, Germany's power club. It's like Fryers struggling to breakthrough at United, doesn't make him a bad player. If it is a loan with an option to buy, then he could be a good acquisition, especially given Freund's public assessment. He would know, so must have suggested a deal would benefit us.

There has been talk of AVB wanting two players for each position, plus a couple of utility players to ensure the right depth in his 25. This guy seems a good fit for that role. CM, (AM & DM), CB and LB. In my sig I have suggested keeping Livermore for this reason, he's played CM, RB and CB for us.

great post and this is exactly the type of signing/contact we should be making on a more regular basis. lets get these players at 17-21 before they become established world stars. For me, we either never did it when H was in charge or he/we were never interested as it never fitted the 'strategy'. Now we've avb and what appears to be a decent scouting strategy taking shape, i'm very optimistic for the future.

Always a plus. But why?

Because he's a **** and get's pissy every time us or any rival team signs a player on loan. If we sign this player he's certain to say we're abusing the loan system, I'd put money on it.

We should sign him for his chant-worthy name alone.

"EMRE CAN, FUCK YEAH!
SCORIN' GOALS ALL THE MOTHERFUCKIN' TIME, YEAH!"

"EMRE CAN'S WOMAN!
WANTS HIM TO SCORE THREEEEEeee"

and....i'm out

What you do is take him on loan for a year, make him feel like he's progressing into the first team, wait for his contract to wind down, then sign him. No need for a buy-out clause when he's only got a year left on his contract.

If he is highly regarded at Bayern they'll want him to sign a new contract with them before they loan him out, Like Levy has done with some of our youngsters in the past. Otherwise they might sell him with a buy back option

I'll be very happy if the "transfer committee" are listening to the opinion of the coaches along with the scouts as this lad will clearly have been a Freund recommendation

We wont be signing him as back up to Sandro, he is 19!! Just because he is from BM it doesnt mean he is ready for our first team.
