My Mrs (who never watches football) watched the last 20 minutes, and even she could identify the moment when we gave them hope and they grabbed hold of it. She couldn't work out why we retreated further and further and then started playing russian roulette around our own penalty area. She couldn't work out why Everton had energy to fight for everything and we looked like we were having a kick about in the park. She, like everyone else, knew they were going to score.

She finished off by saying 'no wonder you get so pissed off watching them. Why do you do it?' Still can't think of an answer this morning.

Did you watch Son?
With Son I think it is more lack of courage than lack of effort. I'm sure the running stats will show that he covered a lot of ground but when you scrutinise the performance there is just no willingness from him to be aggressive and engage his opposite number especially without the ball.

Even his facial injury that he sustained a couple of months ago was for me due in large part to a timid attempt at a header. He did that thing where he tucks his head between his shoulders hoping not to get clattered but that's what ended up happening as his head was not in the position you would expect it to be in if he was going in with full commitment. I'd be glad if we sold him for a decent fee as despite his impressive goal record, it is guys like him that are the epitome of why this club has achieved nothing in recent years. Some guys just have zero bottle and unfortunately I get those vibes from him pretty consistently.

From what I take from the ITK, one of the issues with getting rid of the deadwood (and there is tonnes of it when you look at the players out on loan too), is that Levy has an over inflated opinion of their value and has refused to take the hit necessary to get rid of them, certainly until recently (Dele and Doherty).
That's my point That's exactly what we need to do with about 15 players

I’m genuinely very worried about the club.

we are so far away from being a good side it’s unreal.

Managerless, DOF might end up in prison, board who are a shambles outside of investments.

Our 2 talismans of the last few years in Kane and son, one is definitely off in the summer and one has completely regressed and should go.

we have another forward out of contract, another forward who can’t stay fit, another forward out on loan who is just not cut out for the prem and the forward we got in on loan doesn’t get any minutes and won’t stay,

We have 1 cm of top quality who has done his acl who will miss part of next season and may not be the same player again, 1 youth prospect who looks a good talent in sarr, skipp looks average but will need to be judged in a 3, the rest are technically limited.

We have 2 out an out wing backs, when we need to move to a back 4, another wing back coming in summer, a fullback who can’t stay fit and is just so average, an old experience fullback who is not top quality.

We have 5 cbs, 1 who is good enough in a back 4, the others should be no where near our squad.

we have a club captain who passed it and a huge part of our issues.

we are genuinely in very bad shape as a club and with how much players cost is this market I just do not see how we can sort out issues. We can’t even rely on youth as we have no one anywhere near good enough coming through.

We are going to need next season;
1 striker, richie as cover
1 LW, Son should go or be back up,
1 RW rotation for Kulu
1 creative 10 if we move to 4 2 3 1 or a creative cm for 4 3 3
At least 2 new CBs who can play in a 2, one needs pace and ability on the ball.
1 actual fullback who is decent, to rotate with Udogie who hopefully adapts.
I really worry about Porro, he is not a fullback and I don’t ni where he’ll fit.

We need to sell so many players as well as Kane who will want out;
Kane,
Moura contract over
Danjuma loan ended
Gil coming back needs selling
Son probably needs moving on,
Sanchez
Tanganga
Perisic
Lloris
Lenglet loan ending
Sessegnon
Regs coming back from loan
Lo celso coming back from loan
Ndombele coming back from loan
Rodon coming back from loan
Winks coming back from loan.

I think we’ll finish about 8th/9th this season. We will be in a very bad state,
The usually line will come out from levy that we have to sell to buy as No Europe.

it is very sad worrying times for the club.

The only thing you can take away from that game is that Tottenham players have shit for brains. 1-0 up against 10 men and we think it’s a good tactic to f*ck around trying to play out from the back allowing them to pressurize us in our final third and giving them belief. Why not play it long and put pressure on them in their half. Then needless fouls all over the place cumulating in Lucas’s brain fart. Mindless.
Conte was right. They are team of losers. They don’t have the ability, balls or nous to see out a game against a relegation team even when they’ve got 10 men.

As I said, our problem is we have no one to play it long to. There is no one who can run the channels to make an option down the side, has the outright pace for a ball over the top to turn them round, can get on the ball and travel with it forward.

That is a large part of the problem, it's not just last night that it has happened. We sit deeper when ahead, means the possession is very deep (and looks very risky and gets everyone on edge and the opposition get their tails up with such prime looking bait), but we can't get out with no one direct to hit and so it comes back at us. It just means we get squeezed out, often just tamely turn the ball over within a couple of passes, and the opposition can launch wave after wave of attack at us.

The obvious answer would be..... don't sit back on a lead then. But if they're going to then you need an outball which we don't have and need to find. Maybe people on the ball should bang it long under pressure at times and be a bit smarter, but yeah...

The players have a lot to answer for in general, but from the kick-off at 1-0 you just saw us immediately drop back as a unit to the edge of our box. I don't care what the managers/coaching staff over the last few years say, complaining that "we don't tell them to do that!!!", but I'm sorry when everyone to a man makes that decision and drops off in synchro then in my opinion that has to be because of what has been drilled into them day in day out. When that is everyone's instinct and belief is the correct course of action then how they are prepared is wrong.

I know he is a centre half but how the fuck you let him have that much space to get a shot in. I know it looks like Skipp is diving across but he might as well be a mile away.

Stellini and Mason are a laughing stock both shite and not good enough! Ideal opportunity to set their own way of playing nothing changed. I bet part of Conte leaving so little weasel didnt have to fork out money, would be Conte still picking the side because it was exactly the same shite nothing changed!!!

I think you’re being a little harsh. On prostate exams.

It was written in the stars.

From villain to hero.
You can always expect Spurs to create a narrative for the cameras and viewing public then assist and enable the dreaded outcome.

How could you forget about that? I bet every Spurs fan watching was going 'FFS, don't start with this shit again!'
