Always a tough game this one. It'll be tight whatever the result. Think it'll end in a draw but it'll be interesting to see us against a team at their place who will look to come out and attack us. That space that we find it very difficult to create ourselves with movement right now will be there for us to use. If it is then us winning is actually the likely outcome, imo.

This is key for me. If we cannot find space against a team like Everton who will cme at us, then I think we will struggle for the remainder of the season.

Everton were always disciplined under Moyes.

Under Martinez, I think we are seeing that discipline with the cavalier twist, for how long they can do both before the unwind starts as Moyes' influence wanes remains to be seen, but I expect a very good first half to two thirds of the season for Everton.

Then Martinez will have to start earning his money. I don't doubt he knows a good player and knows the theory behind formations but the jury is still out for me.

Hope he proves me wrong. We need more imaginative, attacking managers to be given the chance to refine and mature their skills.

Our game against Everton has to be a benchmark for the season.

We've got to step up a gear and deliver a proper performance against a top team.

Both Manchester Clubs are starting to get going and Arsenal/Liverpool/Chelsea are strong too.I want a comprehensive victory with a couple of Soldado goals. It's important AVB settles on strategy to make WHL a fortress again.

Transfered Soldado this week for Aguero but more than happy to be proved wrong COYS

Martinez isn't stupid though. Knowing that we are wank at opening teams up he's not going to tell them to bomb forward and leave acres for the counter, they'll attempt to keep possession and build up cautiously. If they go all out at us and we weather the storm it could be a cricket score, we are usually very good given space.

Martinez had a decent record against us didn't he? Tough game, I'd argue the toughest of the season yet.

He won't tell them to bomb at us?

The dastardly cove.

I actually think he'll tell them to go gung-ho at us from the off. A bit like us under Redknapp, they'll hit us fast and early.

We'll need to soak up pressure.

Not looking fwd to this game, don't think we have been cutting edge enough really to be going away to Everton and expecting a win. On the other hand with Everton having a go might play in our favour but I expect a draw.

Hope AVB goes for it and picks an attacking team. We are at WHL after all.
