The pre-world cup fixtures will be absolutely massive for us with a majority of away games but also away against all our rivals apart from Pool.

Scary and exciting at the same time lol.

Whoever gets knocked out in the group stages of the World Cup will have a nice little rest before the season kicks on again on Boxing Day. I want our players to do well there but part of me wouldn’t mind if their respective countries exited early….

We need to buy some Italians. And English players.

Very happy with a Saturday 3pm kick off, especially to start the season, can't wait.

I actually see it as an advantage... who knows what kind of disruption the WC will have on teams once they return. I'd much rather play these tough away games with a full strength squad rather than a possibly weakened one, or potential injuries, whereas our rivals will need to come to us in those possible conditions post WC

The only one of our perceived best XI who plays for a country that won't be in Qatar at all is Kulusevski. We can probably assume Sonny will go home after the group stage but the others all play for countries who might do something.

We need to sign all the Italians and hope Dier remains in Southgate's bad books because reasons.

Last game for us before WC break is Leeds at home on Nov Sat 12th, just wonder how all the players throughout the Premier League involved in the WC will perform that weekend.

Can't wait for Chelsea away personally. If the transfer window keeps going like this we'll have some stellar signings who will all have had a pre season, and we can be pretty sure Conte will have all of the players primed and ready for action. Great chance to throw down a marker nice and early. Bring it on. Have had enough of being worried about what they might do to us.

First NLD is the same weekend as the first of the 2 NFL games at our stadium. So I’d imagine it will be played on the Saturday (can’t imagine the police want TH Stadium and Emirates both hosting big events on the same day).
Hopefully 5:30 rather than 12:30! FNF would be fun though, although never gonna happen.

At first glance that looks OK. We'd be hoping to be 12 points to the good by the end of August, and that run-in looks decent. Yes we've got most of the big teams away first half of the season, but we've shown last year that we shouldn't fear them. Just need to sort out that Chelsea mental block!

Not sure Arsenal would want to play us in January.
They better not bloody postpone it again. I've just got tickets and flights for it ?

If we get most of our incomings early, we’d have a more settled squad when the season starts and our players would be more ready against the top sides for the early away games. I think it would be more beneficial for us having those away games against the top sides early in the campaign.

Key to have a strong pre-season and get transfers settled early so they can get bedded in.

A deadline day signing ain’t gonna do much for us in those big matches first half of the season.

Chelsea away second game in is a very good time to play them.
I think best time possible. They’ve lost 2 of their starting back 3(Christensen and Ruidiger) plus 2 of their most experienced defenders ( Alonso and Dave). Regardless who they buy to replace them they will have a new, not quite bedded in defense against one of the best and settled front 3.
In attack they’ve got some good players but they’ve not really gelled together and all of them have been very inconsistent and they will be up against one of the best defenses in the latter part of last season(plus reinforcements) with Bissouma roaming in front of them. There’s no better time to break our Stamford Bridge hoodoo.

Is it just me, or does it seem like we play Arsenal away first every season, always around October, and then we always play them at home between Jan and Feb?

When was the last time we played them in one of the first or last games of the season?
