I felt like booing from the pub I was in in Bangkok. Absolute dirge from start to finish. The tempo just wasn't there and AVB's changes are up there with Ramos'.

I was optimistic before, but its a shambles.

You disgust me
and I'd rather you did'nt support our club

I'm with you on this but would love to hear from any of the boo boys, if there are some on here, what their motives are.
Because I simply cannot for one second fathom what reason there is to do so. So if your out there kindly take a minute from your booing, step forward and educate me.

Booing at the team you support is a pure joke, the clue is in the name "SUPPORTer". It's the second game. Getting on the teams back isn't gonna help matters. We should all be getting behind the team and every player that puts a Spurs shirt on.

Well since the PLAYers looked like they could barely be bothered to turn up and PLAY then at least it's a mutual disrespect.

Sigs for Sandro and Jenas for anyone. Finishing the game with Jenas & Livermore in midfield and we wonder why our structure went to cat shit.
We don't know if Sandro had a niggle, and Jenas should be able to run around a bit and close out a game with over 250 PL appearances to his name.

It's simple for me, does booing help the team ? No - so why do it

Agree with those above who say the fans should SUPPORT the team , not fuel the media diatribe against AVB

I am with the OP on this it disgusts me. In almost 50 years of supporting Spurs I have seen some performances that probably deserved booing, but I never have and never will boo my team or any player. IMO I am there to SUPPORT them, in all the meanings of the word. Sadly Spurs fans have always had a reputation for being fickle, I've just found that you have to develop a thick skin.

A few people around me booed when Jenas came on - I said as a loud mutter to myself "Who boos our own players? Bunch of fucking spastics". (Apologies if my use of the word "spastic" offends anyone).

There seems to be this perception that we were really bad. We weren't, far from it in fact, so I really don't know what the booing at the end was all about.

I agree about the changes, they were baffling, but the bolded bit? Not sure what you are really expecting. It certainly wasn't dirge fro the first 40 minutes of the game.

We had United on next to the Spurs game and you could noticably tell the difference in tempo. They got men behind the ball easily and our attacks were easily dealt with.

Was a completely different game though. We had all of the possession in the first 40 minutes and Bale was ripping the right back apart. We didn't break them down, but they hardly tried to do anything in the first half where as Fulham actually had a go at United so it was open.

Ah poor tempo, the classic and obvious reason to boo your own football team... Right up there with paedos, the stupid not-playing-quite-fast-enough scumbags!

I booed. I also shouted out 'he's behind you' and 'oh yes he is'. I then laughed like a little girl and wet my pants. That was at a panto in 1982. I've grown up now. I rarely wet my pants.

pantomime defending, pantomime behaviour from the crowd. Those people pay to be there and it aint cheap, they probably booed the result not the team anyway.

my reactions to the result/performance in the comfort of my own home probably would have led to being sectioned...

the frustration can be palpable sometimes, as many people have said, 'same old spurs'.

actually, i watched the swansea match and how they were playing, such fluidity, great passing through the channels, men in the box, i sat there contemplating and decided we could also put on an assured performance at home like that surely we would....
