We had United on next to the Spurs game and you could noticably tell the difference in tempo. They got men behind the ball easily and our attacks were easily dealt with.

They got men behind the ball easily because they were always behind the ball, did this escape your attention? Surely somebody who coaches football can see with 2 screens next each other that the 2 games were entirely different in the way that the teams approached them?

As for the booing, just pathetic at any time let alone after 2 games!

It was a bit half hearted unlike many times in the past and I think it was as ItsBoris said not aimed at the team more at the situation we find ourselves in needing to bring Jenas on.
Even so those that did the booing are as ever a bunch of arsholes.

I was there and didn't boo, as it's not something I ever do.

Sad to say I half expected it when we went in 0-0 at half time, so wasn't surprised it happened at full time.

And I only expected it because I've been going for years and know that it is exactly the kind of game that certain sections of our fans expect us to just have to turn up and we'll get three points.

Well since the PLAYers looked like they could barely be bothered to turn up and PLAY then at least it's a mutual disrespect.
We played well in the first half. The subs left us all wondering. Would the booing still of happened if we had won it 1-0, and played poor in the second half?

I was so angry with the performance on saturday and i have grave reservations in levy's transfer strategy in terms of timing but i would never ever boo the team i think its counter productive and does not help the team or on a smaller level the image of the club one little bit. I understand how supporting spurs can be a rollercoaster of a ride and i am acutely aware of how angry they can make me but booing is never the right way of venting that anger in my humble opinion.

Those that booed Jenas really should be assumed and it just reflexs badly on Spurs support.... what is the gain?

I'm not saying his the dogs bullocks of a player however he is far from crap, I've always thought him to be underrated at Tottenham also believe in the system AVB wants us to play he is still a good option in the squad....give the guy a break.

why dont those two people who disagreed with the op actually explain why (assuming they havent)
I haven't disagreed with the original post, I just ignored it, but I do disagree with the original post.

These comments come up fairly regularly, and I always think they are wrong, they are typical of modern Internet bravery, with people saying things they wouldn't dare to in real life. Who is going to walk up to a stranger and say "you disgust me" ? Personally I am disgusted with far more serious things than someone booing. It's about freedom of choice, you pay your money you shout what you want, not what someone else wants.

No offence but this is bollox. Booing disgusts me and I'd say it to anyone who wanted to listen face to face, and I don't mean aggressively, I mean I'd tell anyone how I felt about it. It's something I feel very strongly about and it embarrasses me each time I hear it, particularly towards our own player. Internet bravery is calling someone a **** on here where they'd never say it to their face. Saying booing disgusts me is nothing like that, even if i 'think' they're a **** for doing it.

And don't get me started on the old 'they pay their money they're entitled to boo' argument. It's all bollox. A massive pile of monkey bollox.

I'm with you on this but would love to hear from any of the boo boys, if there are some on here, what their motives are.
Because I simply cannot for one second fathom what reason there is to do so. So if your out there kindly take a minute from your booing, step forward and educate me.
Unlikely that any of them would post on here.
You need to be able to read for a start.

I remember us booing at HT when 1-0 up against sunderland a couple of years ago. As for Saturday, we seemed to be in full panto mood! People booed Jenas' name before hand, booed Ferdinand at HT when he suggested we were lucky that King had so many injuries or he wouldn't have played for us for so long, Jenas coming on sounded more like 36,000 sighing, and there were boo's at the end.

It does seem counter-productive.

I've heard this "I pay my money" argument many times before, and it's one I can't get my head around. I think this is where the differences lie between some supporters. For me supporting Spurs isn't about paying for a service or buying into a commodity. This is about watching a team that I love and getting involved in a great atmosphere and doing my best to help lift the team.

Personally I would draw the comparison with watching a family member perform. They might be shit but you'll still applaud and cheer them as loud as you can because you want them to do well.

Well I have heard booing almost every season for 39 years, I did actually see someone complain to a guy once, and he got a punch up the bracket for his trouble. I say it is Internet muscles because in all honesty we don't go and complain to strangers, especially if they look a bit thuggish.

It's now about whether they're allowed, it's about the fact that it:

A - doesn't help in any way and,

B - makes you look like a right bone-headed cockend.

I don't know if it was where I was sitting but Jenas got a big cheer and ovation when his name was read out. When he came in there were gasps but I heard no booing. But I honestly don't see why they would boo their own player I don't rate Jenas at all but the man's out there you gotta support him!

I'm not going to rise to your internet jibes.

It disgusts me, I feel embarrassed and ashamed for our club when I hear it.

You seem to contradict yourself a bit, people also don't go and boo or call the players ****s to their faces either.
