I'm sorry but I stand by what I said earlier before the game. A could accept a draw away at a tough stadium, but we shouldn't have lost by a margin like that. Inter are nowhere near as good as we let them be today. They've had an awful season and we've had a great one so far. To lose 4-1 but squeeze through is just comical and we really need to learn how to kill these ties off.

I have one serious headache after that game and all I can think right now is how fucking heavy our players' legs will be against Fulham. Dembele and Parker are going to need mobility scooters!

Seldom have we defended so badly. Cannot understand why Friedel is getting so much stick, the defending in front of him was terrible. We never really got a grip on midfield, allowing them far too much time to pick passes. Then the back four were all over the place a lot of the time, unable to pick up the running of the Inter players.
My real concern is how tired the players will be on Sunday as we have to win against Fulham.

I like the contrast with the Goons exit from the CL - their victorious failure against our success in defeat.

hopefully the liverpool game and that "performance" is the end of our blip! AVB now has to earn his money and get us back on track. I dont think i can deal with any more "slump" based abuse :(

I no longer care about the performance.

I've spend the last few hours on a train home from Newport and watched the game on my phone via 3g. When we scored I went crazy, got a few funny looks!

Will go down as one of my most memorable Tottenham moments :)

This is what European football is all about, isn't it?

I think that going in thinking we'd pretty much won it is what got us so close to losing this one. Underestimating your opponents is never okay and it almost cost us dearly. Football is so much about the mentality and we didn't walk on to the pitch as warriors today.

Edit: I'm so glad Ade got that goal BTW. Said I'd do burpees until we scored and 6 minutes of burpees is pretty painful.

Having changed my undies it's time to reflect how utterly appalling that was. We made it so hard on ourselves and sadly both Gallas and Adebayor are gonners (although I did watch the second half plus ET only). Gallas is a lucky lucky boy. And Adebayor really doesn't give a shit - didn't even celebrate his goal?
Holtby needs to learn more about positioning.
Walker needs to learn... a lot really. Such a foul just outside the area? How STUPID can you get? Just after that backpass debacle I thought he couldn't do anything stupider...
Dembele is just immense.
All in all we are through but a difficult end of the season if we don;t get our shit together defensively.

This performance clearly shows who we shouldn't play.

Plus, if AVB really wants to win the cup, Friedel has to be dropped.

Sticking him to dry in the final will not be good so might as well drop him now.

4 goals- and to be honest he could've done a little better or a lot better for all despite our as bad defenders.

Professional performance.

We played for a 4-1 loss, and never looked in doubt of letting them reach it.
