Is there anyone you want from the relegated teams?

Robert Huth is a pretty decent centre back, providing his injury problems are behind him.

Would also like to relieve Newcastle of Damien Duff as would give good squad options.

weater looks a good english prospect.

Huth was good with chelsea and in germany till he had injury problems

Martins is a number 9 if we dont get dzeko or ibsevic could be usefull/

Duff had his chance, he can fuck right off. There is something immensely pleasing about the own goal he scored.

I would take Tuncay for the reasons that have been discussed on his thread.

I would also take a punt of Viduka as a back up target man, especially if we are unloading Pav and Bent. Obviously his fitness is an issue, but if he was back up behind a £15m player who we brought in this summer, we would hopefully only need him sporadically. His game is also perfectly suited to playing with either Keane or Defoe, and even though he was rushed back to playing for Newcastle's last few games of the season, his ability to hold up the ball almost saved them.

As far as I've read Viduka is on his way back to Oz.

He's another mercenary...steer clear!

How is Martins a #9? He is 5' 7"!

I agree the Bosnian pair should be top of our list.

Wheater is a good player but quite similar to Dawson (and not as good yet IMO). I actually don't think we need a CB, but if we do I wouldn't want another slow 'agricultural' one.

i am shocked that not every single of one you would take gutierezz in an instant.

do you people watch football?

he is far too good for the codes.

i want martins, but i can understand that strikers are a bit of a different issue because the midfield and how they fit into the team can make a difference so perhaps martins would have a chance of screwing up at spurs.

but jonas gutierezz? yes effing please!!!

Agree 100%.

Jonas is newcastles best player by a country mile. Still can't understand why he was on the bench for the whole game yesterday.

However, Martins. No thanks.

Gutierrez only, possibly Viduka if his wages were reasonable as would only be back up.

No-one from Boro, don't like Downing, don't need Johnson.

West Brom - don't even start there, lack of premiership quality was the reason they went down, nothing else.

I don't think anyone from the teams that got relegated would be a big improvement on any member of our first team. I'd rather not just sign squad players but rather bring better players in so that our current first teamers become the squad players.

Gutierrez is a good player, and a great character.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Martins will sneak a move to one of the top four.

How about Nolan?

I really think he'd be a great addition to our midfield especially if Jenas left.

adam johnson and jonas. maybe collocini as back-up if harry thinks he can improve him.

i have a really bad feeling that harry will try to get steven taylor. i bloody hope not! i hate him. IMO, he is a sh*te dawson. we need someone with pace. is bassong as good as the toon fans think he is? he started the season really badly but has improved.

I quite like Jonas Olsson as he is a left sided defender who can pass a bit and is huge. But if he is good enough, I'm not sure.
