Talksport linking us to Cuenca:
Isaac Cuenca - Barcelona to Tottenham
Barcelona are desperate to offload winger Cuenca, and Spurs have been offered the chance to sign him on-loan. Tim Sherwood is keen, and while the player is unsure, work is expected to go on in the next few days to make this transfer happen. (7/10)

No point. A player more or less in the Chadli ilk, just slower with less goal threath.

Is he? when he burst on the scene he seemed to have explosive pace and scored a couple of good goals? As i said i've not seen much from last season, so you're comments may be absolutely correct.

Years ago, late 70s and early 80s, a very good Spanish right winger by the name of Manuel Cuenca played in Hong Kong.

Anytime I see "Sherwood is keen," I lol and move on.

Media sleuths. Only job you can be wrong more in yet get paid is meteorology.

I really liked him at Barca, I think he got injured and they loaned him to Ajax. I actually thought they were supposedly buying him. I can't say I've seen him play at Ajax so maybe his injury has impacted him, but he looked a really good prospect prior to that

He got another injury before writing the season off, again totally agree with you he looked like a great prospect before his injuries. I would a take a punt at the end of the season and get him in on a free

Why on earth would we sign another wide primarily right-sided player when Sherwood is playing Eriksen (and may play Siggy) at LM, which leaves Lennon, fit-again Townsend, and our record signing Erik Lamela competing for the RM/W position?

Seen a lot of him at Barcelona when he came onto the scene. Was ahead of Tello before he got injured so that's how highly he was rated. On the official Barcelona website they say he's started 16 league games for them overall. He notched 16 assists in them games with 2 goals. Played an overall 7 CL games for them, 9 assists in them. Copa Del Rey he has played 6 games, notched 2 goals and 9 assists in them games.
Also, for the record he plays on the left cutting in on his stronger foot which is the right but he's got a decent left foot too.
Went to Ajax and had a knee injury or two. Surely worth a go on loan for the end of the season because we've got barely any good options out left because Chadli is absolute tripe.

I just love how everyone says Chadli is crap because he hasn't performed for us, yet Lamela who arguably has been our worst signing so far is awesome and just needs time... Double standards much? Give them all time to get integrated into the team and the lifestyle.

OK Chadli is older but that means squat in this day and age.

I see where you're coming from but we're going by glimpses of them. Chadli looks lax and uninterested. You just don't get that feeling he's gonna do something magical and take on a man whereas with Lamela you always get that feeling. You know he's desperate to try. You can see that from the Southampton game. He was pressing the opposition like mad to try win the ball for us. The commentator even said it. He said at least you know he's trying when he gets the chances.

Unless he's put his injury proneness past him - which I doubt he has - I see no reason for Spurs to fill up their squad with injury prone players. He once was a very talented player, before he got riddled with injuries.

Cuenca has no pace. Tello has the pace. Great feet, but not what we need at all.

Lazy, lazy, lazy journalism.

I agree except for the chadli bit and loan bit. I think we may take a punt on him at the end of the season and see if he fulfil his potential or flog him for a profit
