Even at 15 mill, it's probably worth the risk.

He'll have decent re sale value as most flops at big clubs do, and it'll further increase our popularity in Korean, a generation of Korean Tottenham fans would be a real possibility, and that'd be worth a lot more then 15 mill.

I understand this point, but in terms of raising our profile, there is only one way to do this. Performance on the pitch.
Take Liverpool for example. Massive all over the world ( and used this to help recover their last slump and overtake us). Never had any players from the US or the Far East in their squads. Yet their profile around the world is secure.
Our recruitment needs to be focussed solely on improving the playing squad, affecting performance on the pitch.

They’re not just spending £15m for gains in Korea, obviously think he can be a good player here

We have three premier league experienced centre backs in Toby, Dier and Sanchez. We can debate their quality but that won’t change the fact that they’ll all be here next season. Then we have the highly promising Tanganga. It makes sense to bring in someone with some experience but yet to hit his prime if we think we can mould him. Nationality and league he comes from are both irrelevant if our scouts have identified a player that improves our squad once Vertonghen leaves.

I remember when Foyth became a player of interest then the fall out over the fact PSG had beaten Spurs to his signing - folk went off the deep end, not because they knew a great deal about the player - maybe one or two had some info - but more the fact yet again our manager (Poch) wasn't being backed with the players he wanted. Once he signed everyone was good with it.

Unless Mourinho doesn't want him then what's the problem with this transfer deal? Say we wanted Jake Cooper of Millwall, would the noise be the same?

Poor bugger, done before he might have had the chance to kick a ball for us.

In all seriousness, in a window where we’re reportedly skint I’m surprised that we’d be prioritizing another CB. Between Toby, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, and even Foyth (who I’d like to see as a RB under Mourinho w/ Sess as LB) we have a decent crop.

Probably means Foyth is on the way out.

I wonder whether Foyth gets a chance on loan ( a la with Leeds and Bielsa).

I obviously don't know how good he is but he is big and strong and by all accounts fast and is comfortable with the ball at his feet and has good composure in dangerous situations. These are surely the basics and even if he's playing in a weaker league they are aspects of a player worth considering.
It's better to consider a player on that basis than one who's had a few good games or even scored a lot of goals in a weaker league.
As I say I don't know much about him but it sounds like the kind of player that ends up in Germany and people ask why don't we pick these players up. If the coaching staff are happy to take him on then at the price mentioned it is certainly a deal worth doing.

Liverpool is the exception, every second french kid coming through Is an arsenal fan because of their french influence 15-20 years ago, here in Australia, there's a significantly higher amount of Liverpool fans compared to the other traditional big clubs in the 20-30 year Olds, mainly because of Harry kewell, and I see quite a few Leeds fans around, also because of the Australian influence. This is something I've only heard, and not experienced for myself, but I've heard that in New Zealand, there is a lot of new bayern fans Because of Sarpreet Singh, who played 30 or 40 minutes in the Bundesliga. As much as we want players who'll be great on the pitch, levy will look at the off pitch presence as much as the on field presence, and this guy can provide both, so it's a no brainer.

Liberato Cacace is another I'd love for similar reasons, he's easily good enough to compete for our left back spot, and he'll help our of field presence in New Zealand. He's heavily linked to Leeds and Lazio, but I hope we can pop up and steal him from them.

The problem with having too many asian or african player means they will be gone same time for their international duty like asian cup or african cup ...

Well we currently have one Asian and one African, and are allowed to register 25 players so I think we’re fine.

Foyth seems unlikely to be in Mourinho’s plans, and if the other 4 one is highly inexperienced and one is on the decline, while both the other two seem to cause all sorts of debate in these parts (admittedly usually unfairly).

If this is happening I see no downside.

I think it’s an area that definitely needs looking at. There is big question marks over all those players. Alderweireld maybe has one or two years left at this level but who knows could be less. Dier only has a year left on his contract. Sanchez is nowhere near consistent enough and has some real calamitous mistakes in him even if he’s having a good game. Funnily enough I think Foyth is the one with the most potential but looks like he’s done here which is a shame.

A South Korean Spurs fan I sometimes engage with on twitter says the guy really is a monster as in a very good defender, he’s not the finished article and his distribution is as good as Toby‘s if not better. I have no more than that and it’s his opinion. I find signings like this interesting. The type made by German clubs that sometimes result in massive moves later on. Not a gamble really, our South Korean fans will make sure it pays off financially.

Personally thought that kabak looked better but we will see, aslong as Jose it'smaking the decision on who the first choice purchase is then I'm happy.

[Exclusive] Min-jae Kim, Tottenham transfers suddenly… Adjusting transfer fees between clubs

Football team defender Kim Min-jae (24, Beijing Guan) is flying to Tottenham, England's professional football.

An official familiar with the European football transfer market said on the 15th, "As for Kim Min-jae's transfer, negotiations are underway between Beijing Guoan and the Tottenham club. Both teams are positive about the transfer." While the transfer fee was suggested, Beijing proposed a higher level of 17 million euros (about 23 billion won), and the two sides are in tune."

It is said that the recruitment of Kim Min-jae was actively pursued by the high-ranking team of Tottenham. Tottenham is struggling with a lot of defense deficit this season, and he intends to solve this problem through the recruitment of Kim Min-jae, one of the best in Asia. One of Tottenham's central defense resources, Jan Vertongen, is likely to leave the team at the end of the season.
I am lead to believe this outlet is very reliable.
