I thought the internacional president said they would not deal with Napoli, they went directly to Damiao's agent instead of asking the club if they could speak to him, that's a no no..

If we walk away, he'll probably be an instant hit and whichever club he goes to, be the top scorer at the WC and we'll be regretting not signing another star before they became a star :(

Indeed...

The two teams are expected to conclude a deal, however, for around £16million within the next month after Internacional president Giovanni Luigi ruled out a deal with rival bidders Napoli.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and manager Andre Villas-Boas were set to miss out, with the Serie A side taking pole position to buy Leandro as a replacement for Edison Cavani, who is expected to leave for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or possibly Manchester City this summer.
But Napoli have upset Internacional by dealing directly with the player’s representatives and the Brazilian club are now refusing to deal wit their Italian counterparts...

That is a really shit way of judging how good a player is with their weaker foot as of course any player is going to take a set piece with their favoured foot, just like Ronnie O'Sullivan prefers to play right handed rather than left, it doesn't mean he isn't shit hot with his left too though. A better way of judging it is how willing they are to take on shots with their weaker foot.

My point is that if the two best players in the world always use their stronger foot then lesser players have no chance. IE hardly anyone is equal on both feet. Competent. Not equal.

They're obviously not equal on either foot then as the poster originally posted and got disagreed with, as if they were equal they could take with both feet, admittedly it doesn't matter if it's messi or Ronaldo as someone equal on either foot wouldn't mean they were one of the best players in the world just the most ambidexterous (sp)

Yes correct quite a few ITK's stated this, not sure it will happen now, Napoli are pushing now

“I know of Tottenham’s interest in me but I am happy to wait until the president of my club lets me know something official.
“I would prefer to play in a team that is in the Champions League, but the most important thing is that they share the same ambition that I have.”

I would like to see us sign him, he looks a good player, but you're right about it not being exciting anymore. It's become a running joke now. I just want him to go somewhere, even if not to us, just so that we can put this one to bed.
