Just looking now and fuck me he does the weirdest run up to take them!

yup, was thinking the same thing. it's one of those things that's fine as long as you score but you look a complete cock if the keeper saves it :)

OGS has done ok for them. Doubt anyone had them finishing in the top four at the start of the season and he’s delivered that. Don’t think he could have been expected to better their finishing position, although maybe get more points.

As it is, he’s safe for now. And somewhere, Poch gently weeps.

Shit me 8 goals in 14 games Fernandes got for Man U, what a massive fuck up as he was ours for the taking last summer... :-(
No doubt hes a good player and he has surprised me.

I live in Portugal and had seen a lot of him here, paying more attention once we were linked and I have to say I wanted Lo Celso more (I had seen Lo Celso live at Copa America where he was excellent).

The reason for that is because I have seen him have a lot of games in which he looked nothing special but he'd score a screamer or free kick/penalty. Now you have to remember that the Portuguese league is a really poor standard nowadays, so when Bruno wasn't even standing out against some of these poor teams I was all little dispondent when we we're linked. Even the Sporting fans I asked were doubtful as to whether he'd be a success in the PL, let alone Man Utd.

I think what has been the biggest reason as to why he has done well is that he's a player who will keep trying to make something happen. He won't play a simple pass when he thinks he can play someone in. I think he came into the league full of confidence and with good runners of the ball in the United attack, it's helped him shine.

The downside to a player like that is that when he's off form or when the opposition suss him out, he will look very ordinary. He's not been so great in his last few appearances and I expect him to have many more average performances with loads of long passes going astray.

Lo Celso on the other hand, will get better and I believe he'll be more consistent.

I think he's done really well. I thought he'd be the first manager out this season, but he's started the rebuild and made them very hard to beat - 14 games unbeaten at the end of the season. He's no Klopp or Pep, but he seems to be a lot better than I have him credit for.

OGS messes up another cup competition.

I think their success has been in spite of him tbh.

OGS does seems like a bit of a one trick pony doesn't he, he has some very good quick technical forwards but in terms of getting over the line in these types of games the weak spots tend to get exposed, like the defense for example, the way they defended both goal yesterday was so amateur and like Lampard I'm not convinced they can coach defense that well.

If they don't get those next season and it is a big if, we will finish above them.

Fully expect the refs to keep favouring them. I’m undecided as to whether it’s incompetence, bias, or corruption, the referees in England have been utter shite since the restart. They can’t be much worse next season, but I don’t expect them to be any better either.
