I understood the "who do we want from city" bit, but after that you lost me.

I'd take Santa Cruz on loan in a heartbeat.

I would personally buy Bellamy and Onuoha if the price was right, but they are probably not the most popular options on SC!

But in reality I can't see why Man City would loan us anybody, and if they sold to us it would surely be at over-inflated prices because we are the most direct competition they have in England right now.

Haha, yeh it was a bit long winded, and hadn't see this other thread, basically i don't think City will be getting rid of any of the players we'd be interested in. Even Bellamy could stay IMO.

I reckon they're only going to get rid of:

Onuoha
M Johnson
Wright-Phillips
Santa Cruz
Etuhu

None of which i think would improve us.

Talkshite were on about them loaning out the likes of Barry, de Jong, Ireland, Lescott etc...

I just don't see it happening.

I'd take Ireland for sure. His goals would be a big boost for us. Santa Cruz could be a bargain, but can we risk him in a limited squad with his fitness record?

Ireland. Irleand. Ireland. And just as I typed the first 'Ireland', the presenter on SSN said 'Ireland' (Pakistan lost to IRELAND in...blah, blah, balh)...that has to be a sign, don't it:shrug:

I was quite in favour of Santa Cruz as the season ended...thoght he would pair up nicely with Bentley again, very cheaply...but then the spectre of his injuries loomed.

Has nobody been watching Santa Cruz in the last 3 seasons? and all seasons prior to his first with Blackeye? he's crap.

When he's played, he's been average

Too injury prone, and he's only really had one really good season

Pass for me

Not for that whole time he wasn't and if he was, an even better reason not to buy him!

It's clear that with the 25 man squads we can't be bringing in injury prone players, so bringing in RSC is just a waste of our squad provisions.

Like i said, i can't see Ireland leaving City in any way this summer.

you would probably take all of them but the question should be how many that are not their recent signings would replace our STARTING X1?#

The answer is 3

De Jong for Palacios (although very close)
Tevez for either Defoe Crouch Keane Defoe
Robinho for either Defoe Crouch Keane Defoe
