All pretty standard stuff really, as you'd expect. Understandably non-committal on what he would deem to be a successful first season with us, but I think that largely comes down to expectations probably being raised with our good start to the season.

I genuinely think he's the best communicator I've ever heard in terms of managers.

Literally says exactly what you want to hear as a fan but backs it up with actions because he believes in what he is saying and doesn't just say it for the camera (cough *Conte, Mourinho*).

💯 mate and it’s not just PR spin it’s all genuine and backed up.

Absolutely love listening to the guy.

Yet our past 4 or more managers have failed miserably to communicate like this.

Now on the YouTube:

What I got from that was there will be a continuation of the same priorities i.e. finish top 4 and the cups aren't important.

Also it seemed to me the most important thing for him was playing exciting football which also put me off. We might as well as become the football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters if that's the case.

He does personal responsibility very well doesn’t he our Ange. Him making that comment about knowing about any issues going in and accepting them meaning it’s down to him now.

So many managers would stay quiet and save that up, in order to be able to use it against criticism.

Really refreshing in everything he says.

That's your big takeaway?

"Us winning the Carabao cup and finishing 10th is not what I think this club is about"

Some fans wouldn't agree...

That's some mental gymnastics you've performed there

He clearly says success to him is winning things

Maybe we can concentrate on winning things on all fronts , when we have a squad capable of competing on all fronts and the belief in said squad that we can do it. He took over the team that was the laughing stock of the country and to point out losing away to a Prem rival on penalties, whilst trialing players he was trying to get to know, as a lack of ambition is ridiculous. Fuck the Carabao this year..in Ange we trust

Where did he say that? His comments are more about creating an environment which removes fear of failure.

Most high performing organisations are not results driven, as results are a byproduct of culture and effort.

The key is to focus on what gets results, not the results themselves.
