Battle on for Badelj! Chelsea and Tottenham both chasing Croatia midfield ace
By talkSPORT (@talkSPORT) | Tuesday, July 1, 2014
Chelsea and Tottenham have approached Croatia midfielder Milan Badelj over a move to the Premier League this summer.
Badelj, 25, starred for his country in the World Cup in Brazil and sources close to the Hamburg star have revealed he is keen to move to England.
Although Hamburg view Badelj as a key player, the German side could be tempted to cash in on the defensive midfielder if they receive a big-money offer.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has already strengthened his midfield with the acquisition of Cesc Fabregas but does need cover in his engine room following Frank Lampard and David Luiz's Stamford Bridge exits.
Meanwhile, new Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to make his mark in north London and is expected to bring new faces to White Hart Lane.
Badelj, who won four league titles with his previous club Dinamo Zagreb, scored one goal in 29 appearances last term.
