Absolutely no idea if this will be the making of us, or an absolute disaster. I quite like the risk factor to it but it is a huge risk.

On Levy’s bald head be it, hopefully this is his last throw of the boomerang but I sincerely doubt it.

Thank goodness for a voice of reason.

I’ll be clinging on to the possibility we hire Enrique until the last second personally. He’s not a glamour appointment, he’s a coach experienced at the highest level of football that plays good football, likes young energetic players (gave Gil his Spain debut at age 20) and can surely attract some of the Spanish internationals we’ve been linked to (Raya, Laporte, Olmo)and is said to want a long term project as his next career endeavour. He ticks all the boxes Ange does, the difference is he’s ticked them at the level we play at, not the SPL, it’s incredibly relevant. There is no objective world where Ange is a better choice than Enrique at this moment in time. Appointing Enrique would bring a sigh of relief for me, whereas Ange would leave me anxious that he’s going to fall flat on his face after being found out of his depth

Interesting read – wonder if it's similar to how De Zerbi's Brighton have been battered a couple times towards the end of season when teams have figured out how to play around them as they've tired.
It’s the same when Liverpool are slightly off though. Klopp’s so good it happens rarely, but when their press is not working they look shambolic.

any chance he brings Harry Kewell with him, I know he has gone alone in past.

If its true that he doesnt usually bring anyone on as his staff, then More chance of Mason being his assistant..
And I dont think thats bad either. Mason understands PL - this is something Ange will clearly need

It’s sad and quite telling that from reading this thread the last few days, if we did hire him a large of number of fans would be quietly hoping for him to fail, literally to the detriment of the club.

They will all fall in love with him when he wins us the Premier league next season (y)

It's bizarre isn't it? These are the people who would never ever have accepted Pochettino when he was hired.

I have no idea if Ange will do well for Spurs but his career deserves so much more respect than is being shown on here.

No wonder no one wants to come here - it's not just Levy it's the toxic fanbase who boo players like Royal and lust after managers who actively scorn our club.
Fucking bizarre

Another twitter tactical breakdown thread. Covers Ange's weakness which is apparently the press.

I like the bit about he suspects the assistant is rumoured to be in charge of it though and if it were Mason he seems pretty switched on to it...

It's astounding how many people have Celtic Fans as friends, almost more than there are actual Celtic fans.
I have an employee who says she is a Celtic fan, but she has sickness issues and likely that I will sack her so I haven't asked her opinion.

However, I had my stag do in Glasgow, it was a great weekend but it's a scary place. (They fkin hate the English, and weirdly sing anti Ukraine songs)

If big Ange can survive in Glasgow, he's alright for me!

I don't think that's the case,
I'm sure if he is appointed people will get behind him and ultimately performances on the pitch may change views.

Ange is either the next Poch or the next Martinez imo. So i'm not sure there's going to be an in-between with this appointment. It's maximum risk but with the potential for high rewards.

If it does fail miserably, then the good news is it might just tip Lewis into ousting Levy. But the bad news is I think there'd be a good chance Levy appoints Mason as interim during a potential relegation battle.
