I read yesterday that apparently Boehly visits the dressing room after every game, that alone would put me off going there as manager. He clearly wants to be very involved with what happens at the club and one does wonder how hands on he may actually be. It’s hard, obviously Vivell’s presence would help a lot one would think, but even so I can’t help but feel it isn’t the right appointment. Still I think it’s pretty much guaranteed to happen and has been for a few weeks.Nagelsmann looking like the Chelsea main target. Why he’s want to risk going there though I’ll never know.

I get that and I won’t be disparaging against Enrique either as clearly he is a top coach but where we are as a club and as a fan base right now, I think we need a hungry, young, progressive manager eager to come and make an impression here and heal that disconnect between the fans and the football club.I’m sure that will be the general consensus. I must say tho Im a little surprised by how much people here have taken to him considering his short time in management, the league he’s from and lack of any trophies (although obv he wins the league this season). I mean technically he hasn’t even been at a club 2 full seasons yet and has very little experience building a team.
Not that I’m trying to dismiss him or criticise him at all, just merely surprised at how highly thought of he is by those on here.
For me I don’t really have a preference between him and Enrique. I can see the pros and cons to both. Both I think could end up being a massive success or a complete flop. I’d pick Slot over Kompany currently tho.

The main reason I'm leaning towards someone upcoming like Slot, Kompany, De Zerbi, etc over Enrique is simply cos of where Enrique's at in his career and his expectations of us as a club.I’m sure that will be the general consensus. He will Slot right in and in fact, speaks English a Slot. Can slot speak English
Whilst I do agree with you the flip side is that Mourinho (to an extent) and Conte got Levy to spend more than he had previously. Now it might not be ‘fully’ backing them their clout got him to put some cash for good players. Would Slot be able to command the same sort of leverage? Or would the fact that he’s more used to cobbling sides together actually be a strength? The main reason I'm leaning towards someone upcoming like Slot, Kompany, De Zerbi, etc over Enrique is simply cos of where Enrique's at in his career and his expectations of us as a club.
Enrique's a funny, charming guy but he's also very feisty. I find it very easy to imagine him getting thoroughly fucked off with Levy after about 12-18 months if we're not where he expects us to be and then storming out. The league is going to be very competitive next season and we'll have no guarantee of Europa, let alone CL qualification. It could very easily be a repeat of his stint at Roma where he finished 7th and left after a season.
While there's a higher chance of Slot, Kompany & co being outright disasters, I think they have a much bigger chance of building a bond with the fans and building something special longer term, Poch style. They'll also have more to lose and probably be more amenable to Levy's bullshit which, sadly, seems to be a necessary quality in a successful Spurs manager.
After the Conte and Jose debacles I'd rather we take that risk.
I don't think any incoming manager will command close to the leverage Conte had but I think we're now in a position where the most important thing is finding a manager who can get something out of the rather expensive squad we've assembled. Conte used Bissouma and Richarlison - 90m worth of signings - abysmally and I think Spence, Sarr, Udogie (and to a lesser extent, Gil) are all good young players with lots of potential.Whilst I do agree with you the flip side is that Mourinho (to an extent) and Conte got Levy to spend more than he had previously. You’d be hard pressed in he Netherlands to find someone who doesn’t speak English. Can slot speak English
About 75 percent of their uni courses are taught in English. Most of them speak it better than the majority of people in this country.I have never met a Dutch person who can’t speak English.

I'm pretty sure that we've only spent more because we have more cash now because of the backing of the stadium, which you'd hope will continue. I can't see any manager snake charming the bloke that sacked someone by text at half time, and binned Poch even though they were actual mates, into giving them any more money than was already budgeted for spend.Whilst I do agree with you the flip side is that Mourinho (to an extent) and Conte got Levy to spend more than he had previously. The fans have built this Poch thing up themselves. Anyone singing for Poch is only setting themselves up for disappointment. It's like in wrestling when the kids whip themselves up into a frenzy for a debut/return when NOTHING has indicated it will happen.
Poch isn't coming back (for now). He may be going to Chelsea. If he does then be adults about it.
100% mate. Looking for a new start with our new manager. Someone positive, attacking etc. Then perhaps they need to move on and get over it. Like pining for an ex 3 years after you've split up, you are both entitled to move on as it isn't healthy for anyone to be stuck in the past like that. If Glenn can go there and play and manage them and still have the love of the fans, than surely a guy that only had a 3-4 year association can too.
Thanks Sean ConneryYesh. He shpeaks exshellent English.
We shouldn't be hurt if so many fans are against him returning. Why should he show that level of care if we don't want him back? We accept Jose and Conte but Poch we won't love you anymore if you go Chelsea? Laughable.Of course.... I agree that our next appointment is crucial... maybe more than ever.... I just think many Spurs-fans will be hurt if Poch gets/wants the Chelsea-job... he still means a lot to some fans.
Who knows... maybe Levy or the club don't want him back because he has spoken to Chelsea earlier ?
I think it would be nice for the shoe to be on the other foot for a change and watch one of OUR old managers go to THEM and totally fk them upThen perhaps they need to move on and get over it.
