That is the problem with their model, if the manager can’t give someone a bollocking at half time without the DOF wanting access to the changing room then what’s the point in having a manager?
Actually feel sorry for Pearson as he’s done a pretty good job for them but if you go to Watford you know you could be out on your arse within a week.

There’s a difference from giving someone a bollocking and getting physically aggressive though, which Pearson has previous for and tbh he comes across as a bit of a psycho! ???

I’m sure when he was captain of Middlesbrough Bryan Robson used to describe him as an absolute gent.

But since he’s been a manager he’s been a bloomin’ psycho!

Entertaining stuff but you do worry he is going to murder someone!

I cant stand this bloke. There ain't many people I dislike, especially without knowing them. But theres something about Pearson that I hate.

I think it stemmed when he pinned down McCarthur for no reason then made it clear in the post match interview how hard he thinks he is.

I absolutely fucking hate him!

Has Nigel Pearson?

Did he then eat the wolves raw afterwards?
Pearson was, allegedly, cornered by a pack of wolves on holiday*, and fought them off by gouging one wolf's eye out with his bare hands.

*He was on holiday. Not sure about the wolves.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Apparently even Ronnie Pickering and Chuck Norris are scared of Pearson.

Heard him on GoSun & he's a typical no nonsense sort of guy, but actually talked quite a lot of sense.

The way Watford owners treat their managers though deserves a relegation. They don't give any of them time to show their capabilities, lose 2 or 3 games & their out & Pearson was no exception even though he'd taken them from bottom & 7 points adrift to a position where one win puts them safe. He deserved some respect for that surely?

Depends what he did to the player in the dressing room - maybe he ate him like he did the wolves?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

Was this... was this the plan?

I mean, if it was, it's going really well! Did the board put the pension fund on a black-market bet that they'd go down and Nige came too close to fucking that up for them? Hilarious.

Well looks like Watford finally got what they deserve.

Shame as I quite like them but the way they treat their managers is abysmal (with Pearson there may have been reason if he was trying to beat up players again but they’ve gone through so so many managers).

Watford were screwed by their form at the start of thee season.
Which was directly linked to the board going back on a promise to pay a cup final bonus to the players.
Javi Gracia was screwed over because the players downed tools, and they gave him the boot as a result.
QSF returning was never the answer, but to sack Nigel Pearson and let an Academy coach take over with two vital games left was a shocker. There were atleast 3 points (v Arsenal) available, but 2 draws might have been enough, with GD in the mix.
Make no mistake, Watford’s relegation is all on the board.
On a side note, plenty on SC have been eyeing up players from relegation threatened teams. Sarr is the only one from Watford, and he’s inconsistent. Bouncing back doesn’t appear to be guaranteed.

Sad because my in-laws are ST holders, so get to go to a few games when they’re on holiday
