Poch: ‘we concede too many chances’

Well, we never used to. Ya know, when we had a defensive midfielder in the team? Winks wins the ball, but he’s not a DM. He needs to be in a 3, or a 2 WITH a DM.

So here’s a crazy idea, Poch. Do you have any DM’s in the squad? Yes? How many? 3!!?? Right. Are they fit? Yes?!! Then fucking play one of them!!! Jeesus titty fucking Christ. And play a RB at RB. What he’s doing is the equivalent of putting Lucas in goal cos he once saved a shot in practice!!!! It’s nuts. Sort it the fuck out!

Who's pretending like it wasn't an achievement?
I think we may be missing one and others points.

ShelfBoy68 has apparently seen us in so many CL finals he thinks making last years does not represent a tangible achievement.

Like I said I have no problem with people expressing concern I just respond when people post bollocks. Making the CL Final was an UNPRECEDENTED success. however "lucky" we were in the process.

Touch of irony considering you seem to spend half your time on here moaning about other spurs fans

Only the ones who make the match day experience a total fucking buzz kill with their sullen muttering and silence and resentment.

But if that's your bag...

Didn't Poch say last season we were much further ahead of schedule than expected with 'the project'? I think where we are now is reality catching up with the fans. For various reasons we were never going to do what Liverpool did after they lost to Real Madrid. Delusional.

We are where we are, plenty to look forward to just need to adjust expectations methinks.
Yes, but why are we now playing such shit football? We have been for quite a while now and it seems to be getting worse. We have the odd blip, like the Palace game, but overall, we have not been playing like we used to.
I'm beginning to worry that Poch is losing the ability to motivate this group of players - and they are his players too.

I expect the players that we have, to play the type of football that we know they're capable of.

Yeah, nah. This isn't an accurate or honest portrayal of my statements.

But yes I definitely celebrated making a CL final. Just as I celebrated our cementing of ourselves as a constant CL qualifier and contender.

When this changes I'll reassess.

It hasn't yet changed.

Until it does I will celebrate that moment Moura's goal sent us to a level we've never experienced.

That okay with you? Or do you insist that all Spurs fans have to always be fucking moaning about everything?

Dont' you ever get tired of that?

You are right. I’m sorry. I should be grateful and happy that I’ve just watched yet another fantastic performance tonight.

we're third place in the league and still active in all the cups! the sky isnt falling just yet.

That’s not the point. It’s the general performances that have been going on for over a year.

The regression in performances of practically every player in the squad.

We look so so poor on the pitch nowadays. Open at the back and going forwards so slow. We look like a team that ends up getting the manager sacked.

We were the shittest of two shit teams, in a shit final.
Yes, it was great to get there but unless we're getting to finals on a regular basis, and actually being competitive in them, then we're standing still at best.

I really don't think we can use the fact that we reached a Champions League final, as a shining beacon of how wonderful everything is at the club.

This has to be among the biggest load of rubbish I have ever read on this forum and makes it sound as though you have only supported this club for a few seasons - as recently as 20 years ago we would have laughed you out of town for saying we would reach the Champions League knock out stages let alone be competitive in the final of the competition along with regularly competing in the higher echelons of the premier league.

Yes we are struggling with squad harmony and potentially Poch may have lost his connection to the team - but we are still well within the most glorious period of our clubs history that I have had the pleasure to enjoy and people need to get a grip.

If you want to build a straw man fuck off to the Land of Oz.

Or you could try not flat out lying about things I haven't said or suggested.

if we are taking making the champions league final as a win then we might as well pack up now. Tonight was awful...we got lucky again...most of the play was shocking, it was Newcastle all over again..we thought we could just turn up and win easily. We keep getting these lessons and yet we learn nothing from them...Poch must take some of the blame but some of the performances out there tonight were woeful.

It really is beginning to look like that.

The first half performance on Saturday was reminiscent of the Ajax second leg with passion and pace and heart. Tonight was just like the final, with none of the above.

I would have so rather spent the Dybala money on Wan Bissaka and a DM like Berge of Gueye than add another attacker to the squad.

Then you really haven't read much on this forum.

Maybe read the other posts and find some kind of context because you appear to be taking it as a stand alone statement, not in the context of the conversation it was a part of.

Also, we're a completely different club to the one of 20 years ago. Look at our facilities, our ground, our budget, our squad. One shouldn't really make comparisons between then and now.
