Feel he could be onto a hiding to nothing coming back too soon
The guy had no pre season and now is expected to come in with one week's training.

He will be well short and people will still (sadly) judge him as though he is at his peak.

Obviously if Ange has seen enough in training to suggest he is ready then so be it but would much rather some youngsters that have been playing games come in.

And I have high hopes for Bryan over the coming weeks/months.

where are you getting this from ?

he played on the right side for Seville

Maybe when he recently went on loan to them, but when he first joined us from there he was a specialist left winger.

His main position is also marked as left winger on tranfermrket and when he signed for us the game he set Kane up for his hat trick in European game he played on the left of the midfield 3.

His favoured position is as a traditional left winger.

From the training footage it looks like he’s been involved for a few weeks now but I agree about pushing him too hard too soon

Well, luckily for us, and Bryan, it doesn't matter what people say, the only judgement that counts is Ange's, and he's clearly not going to be expecting him to be peak Bryan (whatever that may be) from the get-go.

Yeah I think wingers rarely play on their preferred sides now as it’s so one dimensional. What you want now is someone who can go outside or inside but play a shot from the inside. With his skill he is best being trained to play in from the right.

According to this he played mostly on the left for Seville last year.

Is this guy actually good? Somehow I've never managed to form a reasoned opinion on him. I genuinely have no idea.

Honestly if his time with us was like a match player rating it would be NET but he has shown some flashes where you go "hmm" and wonder what Ange can do with him

One thing we know about Gil is that he has enormous stamina, remember that running session in S Korea , was it 13 pitch lengths or something like that.
Big thing has been made about the distance Deki has covered this season , Gil could do similar on the left side.

I am looking forward to seeing him tbh, he has quite a chance to establish himself with our injuries.

he played on the right in the EUROPA final against Roma

I follow Seville and he played mostly on the right when I saw them play

Are you sure your tv wasn’t the wrong way around so players all showed on opposite sides? :)

If he doesn't take his chance now with these injuries, then he never will.

Really hope he can push on with us.
