I don’t know enough about this guy to know how good he is, but from watching his videos etc it just seems a lot of money to me for someone so unproven?
I’d rather king or Wilson (impressive debut today). Will reserve judgement but took a little wind outve my sails after the other ‘links’

Just looking at a few youtube clips of him and from what I can tell, he is a complete forward who has a bit of everything to his game. Whats really impressed me with the limited viewing I have seen is his ability to bring others into the game. A thumbs up for me if that is what Jose has ordered and Levy delivers, then I have no qualms. I personally think this type of forward will do well in the prem.
Yeah, I agree.

We actually have a lot of pace with Son, Lucas & Bergwijn so need something a bit different.

When we go to Burnley and Dyche is putting up a wall a player like this can be a focal point to play the ball into, hold it inside the penalty area and look for runners off of him.

Hopefully Ndombele kicks on this year and Lo Celso becomes more of a threat in the final third and we'll start to have many keys to pick the lock.

The other great thing about Vinicius is that he's quick and powerful, which lends a hand to counter attacks.

Imagine playing City and being pressed back but we have Vinicius, Kane and Son/Bergwijn ready to pounce. Defenders won't enjoy it

I watched that 10 minute YouTube video on him.and he does have good hold up play, links up well, quick feet, picks a pass in the box and seems to be in the right place at the right tone.

Early signs I think he'll suit us and the Prem well thanks to his size.

Also, I get people are assuming he's a bit of a battering ram as he is tall, powerful and strong. Yet I've seen opinions that Deeney and Wood would have been good players for us, well Vinicius is much more rapid and suited to counter attacking football. Deeney would have been a box player, nothing more and Wood isn't the fastest.

So now we know he’s the target... is there any news on how close it might be?

JJ is refusing to say it's close in the replies to his post on Twitter. He's not affirmatively saying that it isn't close, but rebutting people who are jumping to the conclusion that he's suggesting it is.

If what we've seen of him is anything like the player we'll get then I can honestly see him being a very good player, more importantly, it'll give Kane a chance to rest up a bit and protect him better when we have the chance. This signing, if it happens brings far more to the team than just different options. I think it could bring out a much fitter and possibly more devastating Kane. And if the seemingly impossible happens and Levy brings home Bale, we get the TN we were hoping for, coupled with our other new signings, then this transfer window could be one of the most complete windows we have ever had. I actually feel great that we have gone under the radar with everything we have done so far and promise to do. I'm really excited to be honest and I'm normally quite pessimistic where we are concerned.

If it is him, hopefully will prove me and others wrong. Just not the name I’d hoped for.

In fact, he sounds like a disease you might contract. I’ve been diagnosed with Vinícius.

If it is him ,he has been “under the radar” for months ,so that’s maybe why you have not heard of him.

Hold on, does this mean I was right about the silly “Portugal the Man” cryptic??
You mean this?

Some more movement although very slow regarding Bale yesterday. Ongoing but still moving in the right direction. Nothing normal about this one so how it pans out I don't know. Got a good feeling regarding the #1choice CF, I've been confident from the start we'd get one, and I feel it still.

And that's why ITKs are hesitant on speaking regarding closeness and announcements. Things change every day, especially now with COVID. Not to mention every word they type gets analysed a million times over and so people get angry when nothing was even mentioned.

Can someone confirm if he would have to quarantine for 2 weeks ? That could be a real pain if he does or maybe he is in the UK and that’s why now our ITKs are releasing the name

And therein I think is where you’ve gone wrong, you’re applying nowhere near enough salt, especially considering that dragon is not SC verified.

To be fair we've had it confirmed he is on the shortlist list by Rob along with Daka so someone our end has mentioned him as well as the two on COYS. Ally Gold also added fuel to the Daka chat before killing it the next day.

End of the day we're all human and hope for the best for Spurs. The mystery striker excitement not meeting up with the reveal of it being CV is on me but it was a raw reaction. Given time to look into it more I can definitely see the merits of signing this guy, it's a gamble but all transfers are!

That said I never said I thought he was shit or anything, it was just a disappointing reveal.

Still wondering how he will get around the issue of a work permit what with not being capped by Brazil. Were murmurs Wolves tried for him last summer but couldn't push ahead due to the WP issue.
