Vlad Chirices, Frederico Fazio, Roberto Soldado, Darren Bent, Frazer Campbell, Gregorz Rasiak, Vincent Janssen, Gary Doherty, Dean Richards, Goran Bunjevcevic...

They could all (except for Darren bent) control a football. A pre requisite for any top level professional football. Sissoko can't on the whole. Although I did see him do it last night with his first touch for the first time this season.

Doherty is probably the closest but he could put the ball in the net on occasion. I can't agree with the others, except maybe Rasiak.

Gilberto was also bad but Sissoko for me is the worst signing we've ever made. Maybe because I knew he'd be rubbish. I've posted enough as to why i think he's awful enough in this thread so not going to do it again.

He was £30 million. Rasiak, Gilberto, Kevin Scott, Andy booth, dean Austin etc were never that so he has to be judged accordingly.

Bent scored 1 in 3 for us in the league, I never understood and still don't understand the hate he got. A fairly limited footballer, granted, but he more than did a job.

Sissoko said: “It’s true that I was expecting a lot more minutes this season. Then again, I did arrive in a team that was working really well last year, and again this year with the same XI. I tried to make the most of the time I was given. Of course, I’m disappointed, but the manager has choices to make and I have to respect them.

“For me, what’s most important is the team. We had a good year, we finished second. There’s the game against Hull next, the France squad, and then I’ll have time to think, to ask myself the right questions and we’ll see then. We’ll have to see what’s best for me and try to make a choice. Next year is a World Cup year.”

No it's just that people remember the 90's, you talk about bad players you wanna remember back to that era.

He did say for years, not ever. I'd struggle to think of a worse player over the past 3-4 years based on his performances for us so far.

They weren't...and they didn't.

But... they literally were better players for us and did have more successful Spurs careers?

Sissoko has no goals, hasn't completed 90 minutes on a single occasion, cost twice as much as all of them, and is almost certain to leave after one season - that's quantifiably worse by every measure than any of the players you listed.

If he is such a bad player as many here claim he would not have gotten even the minutes he's played in a team that does so well not would he be included in the French national squad. Nor do I belive paid the 30M many claim as well.
However, I won't mind him being sold for a decent price as I have a feelng - though I may be wrong - that things are not, say, "harmonious" between him and Spurs and vice versa.

I hope he answers with what 99% of us want to hear

If he was a free transfer he would have played even less. Poch may pick players on merit but he cant ignore the fact he is the most expensive signing in our history. His best moment for us all season was between 90 to 97 minutes wasting time against Palace by the corner flag

One of my points was that I do not believe he was as expensive as the papers claim- I can't imagine Pochettino paying that much for him

I make no apologies for not ripping a Tottenham player after a 6-1 away win. Not about being honourable, it just seems a logical position
Fair, but then logical would be to abstain from commenting. Calling yesterday's performance good is dishonest. He was a coward, backing away when he should tackle, he had no positional awarness covering areas that were so far from the action that the corner flag assumed a more helpful approach, and he had no ball control , losing the ball when the nearest opponent was 25 yards away. And needless to say, Fazio is a quicker player.
