So it actually turns out that Barca somehow managed to loan Felix for free. They are only covering the majority of his wages. They were also unable to add a buy clause of any type due to FFP restrictions. So there is a pretty good chance that is why Atleti couldn’t offer any reasonable terms for PEH as they were seemingly relying on at least some fee from Felix to help with the PEH transfer.

According to transfermarkt, Atletico have bought for €34m and sold for €76m this summer, excluding the Carrasco deal.

Don’t know a lot of their overall financial situations but seems to me they easily could have got Hojbjerg if they really wanted him.

Anyone get a good replay of him going down in the box? That was either a penalty or a ridiculous decision to go down.

He's like stuck in Conte days hoping his gung ho style that used to win him plaudits can work the same in the current system yet he doesn't seem entirely buying into Ange way.

He isn't capable of playing the fluid fast paced football the majority of the squad are. He's not athletic enough and lacks the quality.

Hope we can sell him in January and get some one else in.

In that we went from cutting them apart at every moment to virtually nothing?

Ange likes him and what he brings to the team, so that’s good enough for me. And suggesting that bringing PEH on somehow blunted our attacking abilities is just idiotic.

Give it a rest, the team as a whole started and ended sloppily. He wasn't spectacular but played a couple of nice balls and could have won a pen. Enjoy the emphatic win, there will be plenty of instances this season where a cameo from him will be exactly what we need.

He looks like a fish out of water in this team if you ask me. Looks like his role will be saving people’s legs late in games, which is fine but I wouldn’t want to go much further than that.

Agreed. Kompany gifted us that game with his crazy tactical shift at halftime and then switched back after we had run riot for fear of an absolute thrashing. It was no surprise the game fizzled out, as they tried to shut up shop. But yeah, some people just gotta blame PEH.

There’s no doubt we would have been better off selling and bringing in a player better suited to the system but he’s alright as a bench option until January. He’ll get even less minutes once Bentancur is fit as him and Bissouma can both play 6 and 8, so hopefully Bentancur regains his form as soon as possible

For all the stick he gets on the ball he was under real pressure receiving the ball in our area yesterday and he did the most beautiful little faint and lay off to break the press.

Just wanted to offer something positive on him when i noticed it.
