Was very sharp from the off today and deserved his goals for the work rate throughout. Hopefully this is the catalyst for a goal scoring run of form from him - boy could we do with it!

really pleased for him.

Ran himself ragged. Two fantastic goals, but his work-rate was extraordinary.

There were two interceptions where he slid to win the ball which I don’t see any of our other forwards doing (at least not very often).

Really, really hope this gives him the confidence boost to get back to his Everton best.

Got to give him credit for what he did today. Excellent at putting defenders under pressure (which he always does) and made good runs to take his goals. Hopefully he'll have some confidence to fire him to new heights now.

Not sure anyone should be looking to stick one up to any critics yet given that he's had one good game. It's still 4 league goals in 40 games.

Worked his bollocks off and the two goals were well deserved.

Starts again Friday for me, at a ground where he's going to get booed because of last season, so another goal or two wouldn't be a surprise either

Ange: Richarlison so important to us

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for Richarlison, who had only scored one Premier League goal this season before this game.

"Richy was great, really important. Him and Pape [Matar Sarr] coming back in gave us some real energy and we were really going to need that today.

"Richy was important to us at the start of the year too, but he wasn't fully fit. He was kind of restricted in his movements. At times, we had to play him at wide to get him through games.

"Since he has come back, he feels a lot better physically. It wasn't just his goals, his general work-rate, his energy and physicality were very good for us."

On using Richarlison as a striker rather than out wide, he added: "It's just because Richy is healthy now. I think that's his best position, through the middle.

"Also, looking at the last few weeks, our best chances have gone to the wide players. Sonny is still our best finisher and I thought getting him back out on the left would give us some more avenues to score goals. He set the tone early on and the lads fed off that."

Incredible game from him today, he looked hungrier than ever before and it paid dividends.

Let’s hope it’s only up from here, well up Richy

His tackle started the move for his first. Showed his best qualities. He works his socks off for the team.

Impressed by his quality and decisiveness in possession today. My issue has always been when he receives deeper he struggles. Link play and progression were fantastic. Deserved his goals. When a player puts in the effort and clearly cares as much as he does, I’ll always have all the patience in the world with them. Richy definitely does.

Work rate was unbelievable today. Was everywhere and winning every second ball. Onwards and upwards for him I hope!

He was exceptional.

Always was desperate for him to succeed here.

Hopefully this is the shot of confidence he needs.
