I would give Sessegnon to Leipzig or Southampton for two year loan deal. Atleast for two years, both soton and Leipzig won't need to bother for any left back. Anyway, who is the first choice left back of Soton?

Bertrand is LB for Soton

Great. Sessegnon is a better prospect than Bertrand ... If we can get a deal for him for two years loan and add KWP in the hojberg, that would be good for both Spurs and Soton. Soton will get two full backs whom will solidify their depths, then also they will be getting 5m to 10m cash in return for a player who has last year of contract.

So does Mourinho rate Cirkin as a better prospect or a better fit for the back-up LB role?

Needs a loan, for sure imo. Has to figure out where he wants to play long-term as that positional ambiguity* rarely works out well

*this probably means nothing but I do not care

Southampton loan would be great, I'd prefer we signed a defensive RB which allowed Sess to fit in with us though if we're going to pursue with the fullback system we currently use.

Who’s our next manager?

If Sessegnon is to leave I would sell him not loan him. We need money this window. By loaning him we would be losing a squad member. We could use the transfer fee to buy a player in a position we need to fill.

Same with any of our younger players, either play them or loan them. Sitting on the bench does nothing for their development.

I wonder what he and his family/agent and team are thinking?

On one hand he's had quite a few injuries, he's at a top top Premier League team and he's learning under one of the best coaches ever in the modern history of football, but on the other hand he's getting very few chances and minutes and that is never good for any player.

I think there is a real player there and hope Jose can turn him into an Ashley cole at LB once he learns the defensive side of the game more and bulks out a bit.

Why the big grin? last year Dan KP said we were targeting 4 players and we signed those exact 4 players.
Yeah sure, Dan is one of the best for us. But every news of any swap with Barca is funny. Didn't expect Sess in that rumour too.

Gotta be honest, there aren't a ton of players in that Barca squad I would realistically want in exchange. I'll gladly gamble on the upside of Ndombele over Coutinho. They're not getting rid of Lenglet, De Jong, we don't need Dembele... Doesn't make a ton of sense to me but seems like its all setting up for a Coutinho/Ndombele swap.

If it is from Dan Kilpatrick, then the interest from Barca is true. I certainly take semedo, griezman and Frankie De Jong if barca want to swap

Coutinho has good numbers in Bayern but he plays shit, this deal would be horrible for us.

Shame as we would have surely been interested in Arthur but clearly they prioritized Pjanic.

Two young talents, who will at least hold their value, at the beginning of their careers, for some over-the-hill squad players with injury issues and massive wages? Sure Daniel Levy is having kittens at the thought if this.

Also considering our finances, you're essentially writing off £80m worth of assets for rapidly depreciating ones who'll be worth nothing in 2-3 years.
