Lennon - some people must be watching him in an alternate reality with the way I hear him described sometimes. mediocre.
Defoe - English pundits LOVE to express their surprise at how he doesn't play more, and what an amazing goalscorer he is....except that he isn't. yeah "great servant" and all that BS...but he really doesn't fit any description of the word legend. at all.
Dawson - fans were going completely out of their minds when AVB first said he could leave, and I always hear all this nonsense about him being a "colossus" and "leader of men", but he's basically a very poor man's John Terry.

other club:

Eden Hazard - he's pretty good, and could well develop into a world-class player....but he certainly isn't there yet. a few good performances and hat-trick against Newcastle, and they suddenly start discussing him with Messi and Ronaldo who have been the best of the best of the best flr several years now. madness.

Vincent Kompany. one brilliant season in 2011/12, but he has been massively inconsistent since then, consistently gets exposed in the Champions League, and still gets touted as being amongst the best in the world. he almost always gets excused from any culpability in bad defensive performances by Man City, and praised for the increasingly few good ones.

anything associated with our club is overrated lol but current set up defintely townsend off top of my head.. woeful headless chicken..and defoe.. fact sherwood and people rate him as a legend is a joke to be quite honest..if he is a legend to spurs fans what are the likes of gerard for example to liverpool, total different planet of legend, doesnt even compare to someone like that.

agree with everything there but in all fairness hazard is different gravy altogether, brilliant player .. if he was at spurs fans would be going apeshit at how unreal he is..so strong , hard to knock off ball, this lad has it all and so elusive...he will be one of best

A few of you have said Carrick, but i wonder how different his career would've been, and Spurs fortunes, had he stuck around at the Lane? I think he was over-hyped at the time of the transfer, sure, but he was poised to be the lynchpin of our side, the team was being built around him but then that mammoth offer comes in and we're left with a big hole and he sort of vanished into the gaping maw of an all consuming United squad at the time.

I really think he could've become a genuine midfield hero had he stuck about and developed with regular games and a regular squad that revolved around him, and lawd knows we could've used him that year.

Kompany is the best CB in the prem. Hazard, at the moment is the best in his position in the prem. I still think within 5yrs or so he will be absolutely sensational and in top 5-10 in the world he is only 23 isnt he?

Rose (should have retired after the goal against the Gooners)

Townsend, people say Lennon's predictable.

Dawson, I think it shows how much work Ledley did to make that pairing look good.

I still don't get it :(

Go easy on me.

careful @kungfugrip - he says this to all the guys, it's his second favorite chatup line, before you know it he'll be back from the loo wearing his Annie outfit and asking you to wear a baldy wig. From there it's a slippery slope.

You don't want to know why it's slippery either.

VDV - ran around like a headless chicken which made people think he worked hard, when in fact he wasn't doing his job to start with (especially when playing right wing). Good footballer though when on the ball, just not the Messiah Spurs fans make out.

David Ginola - capable of some phenomenal moments, but realistically was nothing more than a fair-weather player.

Dembele, don't really see what he actually does. Poor passing, shooting, always limping off after 70 minutes, cant cross. Sure, he's strong, can occasionally go past a man, but then does nothing with the ball, gets hardly any goals or assists, doesn't keep the ball ticking over. He's a decent player, but overrated by our fans, I doubt any of the top 4 Clubs would want him.
