Whether the name plate on his office door says 'Manager' or 'Head Coach', he should have the final say on all matters relating to the team, especially which players stay, which ones go and which new ones are brought in. But it's essential that Poch and his first-team staff continue to have a strong working relationship with Mackenzie and Mitchell, as well as John McDermott, the Academy's Head of Coaching, who I believe is another key member of the club's brains trust.
