Well yes but we keep saying that and they keep playing well. Their fast starts versus our lethargic first halves, away from home straight after an international break... Doesn't fill me with confidence

Yeah I'm not saying they've lucked this 2 nil lead, not at all.

Just you can tell Brenford haven't exerted themselves yet though. Its way too timid

Mate I really think this is more a case of Brendford not turning up then Arsenal doing anything spectacular
Okay but Arsenal are clearly a pretty good side. Even in the game they lost they controlled the game for large periods and created lots of openings. They press very high and aggressively, especially early on and undoubtedly will pin us in our half at least initially in two weeks time. When considering how we’ve played at times this season and how bad our record is at their place, it’s entirely reasonable to expect a loss.

I think the manager will tear them a new one, theyll come out better but they really cant concede again

I think it could be a classic.

But if you want to expect a loss....that's your prerogative

Anyone that says otherwise is a mug, although that is not saying we can't win, it's just I can see where they will hurt us.
Cant be any worse than our last few appearances at the Emirates when Spurs players didn't turn up. Hopefully Conte has them fired up and we can pick them off. Will be a good test to see where we're at

If it was say 4.30 on a sunday id say a potentially a real classic but first game back and at 12.30pm on a saturday - not so sure. I think though it will be a decent game but as long as we dont just do what we did against Chelsea - Arsenal look better than them

Just need to hope Brentford come out a bit more aggressive in the 2nd half. Next goal could be a big one.

Next time a goal goes in I'm just going to go and cry in the cupboard under my stairs. Some will say that's an over reaction, but I've learnt on here recently you can basically predict the future using moments in games.

For the record, Brentford have been poor defensively, but it's worth noting that a better final through ball would see them through on goal on 2 occasions.

Don't write our chances off so easily.

Key for us is being in the game at half time. They don’t tend to press high well for 90 like City can. We will get periods where we can assert ourselves. Even in the Nuno loss last season we grew into the game in the second half. It will be very difficult early on though. A bit like the first half yesterday but against a side with more quality in the final third and that is better at defending counter attacks, with a rabid Emirates crowd on their side.

They basically are trying the Man United apporoach - except Man United had better players like Eriksen and Bruno.

If Brentford could only get one back it might make a contest of this yet ..

If teams don’t concede against them in the first 20/30 minutes they soon tire. That has to be opposition teams’ approach. Then pick them off.
