Was just going to say you seem a tad out of sorts. Why is it I feel like I am fighting you lot on this thread? I like you all, really!
I'm in the no-jose camp
Most concerning thing from the game (for me) was Harry ignoring Son to shift it back on to his right foot and then losing it. Either Harry and Son have a bit of a personal issue or Harry just wanted a goal, hopefully it is the latter.
Just a quick mention on our transition, our 3rd goal was exactly that. Win the ball in our area, ball out to Kane with Lamela making the run beyond him. Good diagonal ball into the run and Kane following up to finish when Lamela got his shot off. It's quick, incisive and, ultimately, devastating.Totally agree, especially on the transitions but also the Winks praise today. Felt second half especially he started to find some nice forward passes.
The transitions thing is very interesting for me. Like you say there were a few times in each game of late we could have clear chances only for the attacker to make a poor decisions. If this can be improved through coaching or personnel (plenty of merit in the Willian link in this sense) I can see us scoring a lot of goals that way. With a bit more understanding I think Kane and Son could be quite deadly as a pair if we opt to go that way.
Aurier was a hero for just being out there today but I do feel upgrading him and Sissoko (who also gave his all today) will improve us even further.
Kane MOTM for me for popping up with the two goals when we needed him. Special mentions to Aurier and Winks as mentioned above.
For work rate Son and Moura, with Sissoko also playing well. Lo Celso looks shattered. Kane scores two good goals but did little else... anyone else sense tension between him and Sonny?
Their goal was a very decent strike, but if you pass to an unmarked opponent in your own box you kinda deserve it when they score. Very similar goal to Sunday in that respect.
But, a decent away win against a team who don’t lose many at home (first home loss in 7 months?). Also, was amazed Jose had never won up there before. Another nice hoodoo to break!
You responded, so contrary to what you wrote you do have time! And for the record no one was moaning, we were just stating the facts as it were. Do yo want us to lie and say we were awesome when we weren't? Like you I am just as happy that we got the three points despite the performance. That does not mean I cannot talk about how poor it was. Channel your self righteousness some where else.
I agree and I stand correctedJust want to point out that your opinions are not facts.Just opinions. The score being 3-1 and kane scoring 2 goals are factual.
Also for me, my opinion here. I thought we played a pretty well balanced away game, the defence looked decent again only letting in a very good goal and Mourinho when he noticed the 433 was not working as smoothly changed it up slightly to get my attacking play and that helped create the goals.
Why is it that when someone has a different view or opinion than a lot of you on SC, you resort to name calling? Its petty and juvenile
