I suspect the haggling over price will cost us this signing. Valencia need to sell but Liverpool want him now too and won't hesitate to pay the asking price. Starting to look likely he will be in red next season.

If he does sign, then I want him to feature vs Espanyol in two weeks. Announce him tomorrow, week training with the lads, come on as sub vs Monaco then a second week training so he can start with Paulinho and Chadli.

No, Levy isn't. If we don't get the players we need, we won't get CL football and that will cost us lots more in potential revenue than a couple of million he is trying to save. We keep losing signings because Levy always wants to haggle. Villa came out and said the only reason we didn't get him was because of this and next will be Soldado.

No he didn't. We had agreed terms with Villa and had offered more to Barca than Atletico had. Villa did say that atleti had done more in 3 days than other clubs had done in months, but did not say it was about money.

Criticise Levy by all means, but get the facts correct.

Also, if Soldado signs for those horrid, skanky, delusional, scummy, roustabout bin-dippers, I will have to bite my thumb at them/Levy.

That would be just an absolute kick in the teeth.

There was an update on fighting cock:

From:

We are in pole position to get Soldado and hope to be able to announce, at very least, as soon as Saturday, that an agreement is in place. If Soldado trains on Saturday the things change and we may forfeit the first refusal agreement we have in place with Valencia

to

Ok, last message was my abridged version... Here is the message...

"Spurs expect to be in a position to announce soldado agreement by Saturday at the latest. If Soldado trains on Saturday things change. There is an agreement in place to sell only to us if they find a replacement. That agreement is forfeited if he trains on Saturday"

Easy solution.
Bulldoze their training centre
So that he can't train.

Isn't the itk regarding training and Saturday saying that we have agreed terms and we are waiting for them to find a replacement before we sign on the dotted, if he trains on Saturday the deal can be completed irrespective of their replacement situation. If so that is all positive....isn't it?

I am begining to worry a bit... if no news on Sat, AVB may be left with little option but play Bale as a CF.... that means we need more wide forwards to cover his free role.... which is not ideal.

I think it means they have an agreement in place, and part of that agreement is that Soldado can't return to training. If a deal hasnt been concluded on Saturday and Valencia make him train then we will walk away from said agreement.

I read it as

If Valencia Club Football cannot admire striker replacing to Soldier prior trains Saturday. Deal departs.

Perhaps.

Except we'll probably be buying him from Lollerpool rather than Valencia Club Football.
