Are you having a laugh? Scored, got another goal ludicrously ruled out, made plenty of other great runs which Lucas and Lamela in particular failed to find. People hate Kane when he's deep and harrying and hate him when he's right at the top and scoring. What he's managing to achieve with absolutely minimal service is remarkable.
Yes I am. Nobody blindly stands up for him more than me but unless he’s under explicit instructions to stay on the shoulder at all costs, then he should be doing far more to link with midfield than he did today. The goal after the game was long lost doesn’t change that.

Jose has not spent £150m here, what are you talking about?

Poch didn’t take us to a champions league final, VAR did. We were woeful for the majority of the CL campaign, and it acted as a handy band-aid for those who wanted to pretend we hadn’t gone into freefall well over 18 months ago now.

Possibly the worst post I’ve ever read on SC.

Mourinho is no dummy but what can he do?
Not a lot. We could sack him but what difference would that make in the long term, not much. It doesn't matter who's in charge, he'll only be hamstrung by ego, transfer policy and outright tightness. There's only one constant in this whole sad scenario and it beggars belief that he still gets such an easy ride. The urgent change isn't the manager. I'm starting to lean toward a change of owner and philosophy, but at the same time being careful what I wish for.

Thats what you got from that abject performance by the team??
One of several things ,but yes an overidding view that he isnt cut out for the premiership and is only able to be effective within a 10 yard area due to the fact thats as far as his fat arse can take him.

I know he built a great stadium but Levy has been negligent on the football side. Because he did not back the manager with quality we probably lost out on 2 premier league titles and a champions league.. Then he goes and employs a manager totally unsuitable to the club..

This squad is finished! Whenever a decision goes against us, we sulk and capitulate! Will need £300/400 million to sort this shower of shite out! And a forward thinking manager, kinda feels like the whole santini/Jol appointment (head coach is well known, whilst the assistant is the younger future manager (think Sacramento takes over after Jose) and I’m fast losing patience with Jose!... all lies with levy though!

We know how this ends. Jose won’t get the cash. We will start next season the same (as we did after the summer 2018 and after this 3 Month break), Jose will get bitter and then sacked. Ergh zzzz
And people will fall for it again and place the blame solely at the manager. Listen, Poch had to go, but he was definitely not the only problem.

We can't afford to pay Jose to leave. Levy needs to back him wholeheartedly. We need much better quality. We have some names but a lot of them not good enough.

I completely agree about the attacking 3 deployed today. No real guile or creativity there. Who was supposed to be the supply? Then we had no pace to bring on if it was required. Big mistake by Jose with that.
With what fucking magic money tree is he going to do that? We're down hundreds of millions of pounds. Anyone can spend infinite money and build a decent team. An actual manager is meant to improve what he's got rather than watching it regress. These players were good enough under the last manager, more than good enough.

Son has been absolutely dreadful since the restart but never, ever received any form of criticism. Absolute passenger.
He has been in quite a few games but honestly there is no balance in the team JM picks which doesn’t help imo. We need a much more sturdy midfield if he is going to play like we do.

This manager failed at Manchester United, in the sense that he finished 2nd and won three trophies.

Mourinho’s United record was better than Poch’s Tottenham record. Sorry.

Your dedication to backing your horse through thin and thin is admirable but I'd quietly suggest you look up "sunk cost fallacy" and start thinking about where Tottenham needs to be in 6 months - not where they were a year ago.

Well, that’s the last spurs game I take time out of my day to watch this season.

It’s not fair on all of us that they do this to us. None if us really need the stress.

That's been the only answer for a few years now. ENIC gave this club a self imposed transfer ban for what is probably the first time in football history. And still people defend them like crazy.
