This is it for me - we had the more talented team and squad. Sheffield Utd have a clear game plan, everyone knows what to do and they scrap for everything.

We may or may not have the team to compete with ManU, ManC, Liverpool, etc etc but we certainly should have enough for games like this.
Agree. For a very brief moment in our history 2016-2018 we had a mentality where we worked, fought and believed to the end. No more.

Yeah, I'll always remember VAR's hattrick in Amsterdam, it's 3 goals at the Etihad, its 4-0 win over Dortmund, the crucial draw at the Nou Camp before it was even introduced. The club has spent that money since. This is a better squad than Poch had last season. But the manager? The manager is a dinosaur who's failed in his last two attempts at English football and is failing again. This team is not inferior to Burnley, Norwich and Sheffield United. If it isn't 4th, it should be 5th or 6th minimum even in a bad year.

This manager failed at Manchester United, in the sense that he finished 2nd and won three trophies.

Mourinho’s United record was better than Poch’s Tottenham record. Sorry.

What was really disappointing was that after the crap decision there was no sense of indignation, we didn’t say “right, fuck your, you’re getting it now” and kick on. We just did sweet FA

I backed José but I think the game has passed him by now. Get the best price for Harry and a young managerial talent and rebuild

Levy has completely fucked it up in that he's got a project on his hands and a manager who doesn't do projects. It's a fucking disaster.
Levy to pay out more compensation, at this rate we will have no money players will pay us to join, maybe that is the levy master plan everyone thought it was the stadium that would generate revenue and turn us into a big club.

They're literally the biggest team in world football. And it very quickly went wrong. If you like this football then be my guest. But I ain't seen any trophies, any performances or even any competence so far.

We are a mid table team now at best. Sad to say but we are miles off Wolves nevermind City or Liverpool

I know I've said a lot of things in defence of Jose but there's no excuse for this.

The disallowed goal did effect us but because we went top heavy and with too many runners it meant that we were relying on space in behind, which didn't exist cause Sheff Utd were deep. Wilder then got his team to sit even deeper knowing that we didn't have the guile to hurt them.

Jose should have brought Lucas off for Lamela at HT and Ndombele soon after. Bit first mistake was even starting with 4 up top.

If we don't see any response from now til seasons end, we need to consider bringing in Nagelsmann because it'll be the only time we will be able too.

Two years ago we looked in a situation of excellent health. Since then it's been shocking decision followed by shocking decision.

But mostly I'm fed up with this board. Lack of ambition has got us where we are now and that lack of ambition will keep us from challenging anytime soon.

Levy and Lewis pack up and leave.

We can't afford to pay Jose to leave. Levy needs to back him wholeheartedly. We need much better quality. We have some names but a lot of them not good enough.

I completely agree about the attacking 3 deployed today. No real guile or creativity there. Who was supposed to be the supply? Then we had no pace to bring on if it was required. Big mistake by Jose with that.

I'm laughing my tits off, switched the game off after that ludicrous 'handball' decision!!! I really don't care about PL football anymore, it's a fucking joke!! Southend United here I come (if they even have a club when the new season starts?)

That 'mentality' word rearing its ugly head ... Team is rife with 'who gives a shit' for me.

Brighton was definitely worse
If you put the Brighton game in the ring with this match, to have a fight to the death, noone would still be awake at the end of it to see who died.

First half was decent from spurs. Second was so abject I am.struggling to recall any if it.

Jose had the double substitution prepared and the players dropped their levels just as we were approaching the second water break. If they'd maintained their concentration and we'd gotten to the break with Ndombele and Dele coming on at 1-0, it would have been a completely different dynamic.

The mentality of this group of players is a long-running problem. Jose can be called into question for not having changed it yet, but it runs deep.

struggling to think what to write about that. so rather than appear knee-jerk, I’ll leave it mostly.

Only thing I’ll say is that I really struggle to see what the point in us is at the moment - we have no identity, no style, not solid at the back, not creative and free flowing going forward. real conundrum, especially with no apparent money to spend to put it right.
