He works with Levy!Very reassuring when your head of recruitment says he hates the transfer window ?
We know the club wanted Rose out for some time now. To me Mourinho was probably following orders to help get him out. Don't see how anyone can be pissed at a loyal servant wanting to play and contribute and also he was right to say how can I get any rhythm when I play once every 8 weeks.I havent seen the episodes - I will tonight though with a big bag of chips, some malbec and some mood lighting but I have seen the Danny Rose clip.
I dont think Rose did anything wrong, he is frustrated and wears his heart on his sleeve but I also think Jose saying it is your perspective is also slightly wrong as that kind of dismisses the issue at hand by suggesting it is i Dannys head
I have confronted my boss before, perhaps not in a confrontational manner but there are times when people just throw their toys out of the pram - hell even my boss has done that.
Danny is right though, we have had shit performers who continually played but i suspect because we had no one else to play in those situations.
Failing to sign a backup striker was glossed over pretty smoothly especially given the hard luck story of injuries.
We got some platitudes about best intentions and a comment from dear leader to us proles about how we don't understand all the moving parts in a transfer. Presumably other clubs also have to deal with said moving parts when they sign strikers too, but what do I know.
It's a far cry from watching the Sunderland chairman getting slowly shafted harder and harder for Will Grigg against his better judgement!
Maybe just try hanging out with men who don’t try to harm you at all?Regarding Rose I prefer the man that punches me in the face than the man that stabs me in the back. Good passion, a man that wants to play football.
He loves the scrunch face wave hands up and down like scales combo.Daniel Levy is as odd as I imagined.
Hmm, take the above on board but no, not for me.
I think it’s fair to question if you aren’t in the team but I think Danny goes about it with basically zero respect. The way he actually talks to his manager just shows zero respect. I think people try to excuse that by saying he’s a “heart on sleeve” type. However I think you can be a straight up, honest, heart on sleeve person without talking to someone with that level of disrespect.
You can see why Danny is struggling, in his head he believes he is still Performing at a level that the wider world of football doesn’t seem to agree with.
As I say, can see why people want to question why they are not in the team, but regardless of your own greivances I don’t think it’s much to ask that you still talk to people with a bit of respect.
Haha was thinking the same, between him and Levy it says a lot.Very reassuring when your head of recruitment says he hates the transfer window ?
Which scene?Mourinho’s body language when talking to the head physio was disappointing and a reminder of some of the problems he’s had in the past. Quite manipulative.
“Have Milan called yet”
I sincerely hope you're not in a management role wherever you work if you feel that would be appropriate...I dont have a problem with Rose. In fact, kind of wish he didnt have that convesation in the managers office and had it in front of the team. They were absolute fucking shit and had been all season. Would have no problem with someone calling them out to their faces. I’m floored they put that in this documentary though. Poor from the club. He does need to leave the club permanently though.
Just watched 4 & 5, I thought that fair enough of Danny Rose questioning why he's not playing as CB's playing LB instead of him but he did come across fairly aggressive in that meeting with Jose and a bit volatile the way he just walked out and said I'm going to speak to Daniel tell him I'm here etc, for me I think its his attitude and disruptive nature that Jose didn't/doesn't want rather than necessarily the quality he brings or doesn't bring on the pitch. When you also add that he regularly leaks things to the press that's also not ideal.
I'm actually surprised that Jose didn't call his attitude out a bit more rather than saying he didn't play that well against Liverpool, surely Jose didn't actually prefer Jan or Tanganga at LB compared to Rose? Tanganga is a great prospect but is a right footer and isn't really a LB so surely its Rose's attitude that is more the issue? What did other people think on this?
Also I thought Levy came across pretty well in the conversation between him Eriksen and Levy, trying to balance the fact that we had injuries and wanted a fair fee for him 20m euro's which with 6 months left on his contract is a fairly reasonable ask for a near on world class player and said reluctantly we'll let you go if the fee is right for us but we've said all along that we don't want you to go. Tad worrying when he said "as we know all the deals happen in the last week of the window"... yes in your little world they do Daniel but deals can be done at other times, thankfully this summer has shown that a leopard can changes its spots a bit...
Hugo's team talks were more aggressive than i thought they would be, nice to see.
What did people think on Rose, Levy and Hugo scenes?
