Sissoko and Alli are not the cause of anything. Poor management, poor tactics and poor player selection are the cause
Sissoko and allí as your CM/AM options doesn't change the fact what system you play or manager have, neither can keep the ball in possession.

Sissoko only runs in to space with the ball and Alli, doesn't know what to do with it unless he is on goal

The difference is that they are encouraged to take risks, whereas under Mourinho they were all scared shitless to make a mistake.

Even under Poch it was the same, though - like they'd been taught what to do and couldn't use their own minds to react to when it strayed off plan.

They've played like you'd expect in training - calmer, more composed, and seemingly able to express themselves better

Second half Alli, and then overall Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Gio, Hugo, Gollo all were really good. Thought Reguilon got closer to his best with the pace and runs forward, and, one sublime Pepe touch aside, defended great. Ofc son does what son does too.

Bragging rights for a bit and the heart warming thought that things can only get better with our new signings. Very happy with all that's happening at the club.

Cant always go too much by friendlies but Nuno has got it spot on pretty much purely focusing on fitness. We looked a lot stronger than them last 20. Now a huge week for Paratici and co....

Shouldn't judge too much from friendlies. But it does feel like we're playing a bit more with the handbrake off and dare I say it our lads look happier and more at ease?

The Arse channel is a world away from the Chelsea channel, they've been pretty fair and unbiased - Chelsea channel just full of bitter twats

You can see a few of the players are getting their confidence back.

Makes all the difference

Problem is, what's the alternative?

Alli only worked as a LW, Son replaced him in that role.

Alli isnt a creative midfielder in the slightest and looked poor when Eriksen wasn't playing in the hole

As for Sissoko, Poch and Mourinho didn't have many alternative options. Though Mourinho imo wrongly played sissoko as the DM next to Hojberg because the CB's were so poor. He did soon drop him though but I literally saw last season Hojberg shouting at sissoko to get in space and give him an option
