Not going to get in a pointless argument but I suggest you have a look again at Havertz kicking Royal before the Ziyech foul.
How long before? Royal is 30 yards away from Havertz. Genuinely don’t remember an incident they were playing on from, so I think it’s much more likely he was going to book Ziyech

This is what bothers me about takeover talk. I don't want to become like them. I know they will probably get it right and win stuff , but their approach just doesn't appeal to me.
I'd be amazed if they dont win something before we do. Yes they're a mess now but they've a lot of talent there. Potter or another manager will get them playing and they'll be away, probably as soon as next season.

Given where Liverpool and Chelsea are this season - I will be shocked if both are not in the top-4 next season.

Next year, with their talent, but no CL distraction, they should both have a nice run in the league.

Emerson played as that tucked in third “midfielder” again when in and out of possession. Seems to have really changed us to become stronger defensively and also allows him to carry it forward more centrally. It’s been a really good tactical change which has helped to give us 3 good wins. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he didn’t play against Leicester and we were back to looking poor defensively in that game.

Sure am. What do you think is wrong? Chelsea being bang average or us being more than a 7/10 performance?

Either way I think you overselling someone.
We very rarely beat Chelsea. I respect your opinion but I think it was a very professional performance and I would of rated it atleast an 8 not a 6/7.
With the quality players Chelsea have and our terrible record against them I think they played superb. I'm very happy can't win every game by 3 or 4.

All week people were going on about Dr Tottenham this and Dr Tottenham that. We beat Chelsea (no matter how poor they are) and some people still can't give us credit and be happy.

Honestly we were very good today. We were comfortable at the back keeping them at bay and took our chances.

What more do you want?

One thing missing from that Chelsea team (apart from a striker) is guts. They’ve always had some nasty bastards in the team but this version seems so weak. Both Chilwell and Havertz visibly shrank when in proximity to Romero. I think I even saw Havertz apologise after Romero had flattened him.?

Cannot believe how slow they were when they lost the ball outside of our area, there was little tracking back and many attempts to win the ball back.

In fairness their midfield was lacking as well.

Liverpool will be a point behind us of they win their games in hand, Newcastle could push us into fifth.

I wouldn't count on Scouse making top four, especially looking at their remaining fixtures.

I am talking about next season - when they don't have CL distractions

Excellent professional performance against one of our jinx teams. Thought we were excellent all over the field in terms of workrate, with perhaps Kulu being a bit off it today. Skipp and Peh steady as a rock in the middle, the Emerson revival continues, has been reborn into Cafu, Romero a beast at the back and his comrades back there did not let him down today.
Kane scores again and Skipp steps up in Bentantcurs continued absence, scoring a cracker.
Great weekend, picking up points in close rivals, onwards and upwards Coys.

Random but thought it was funny how Ziyech ripped his finger tape off then was told he could play on.

I was finally at the game this season, first time since covid. What amazed me most is the sound of Romero’s tackles. It’s a thing of beauty. All in all, a great derby win, wonderful to watch them lot leaving the ground early.

Watching the highlights and replays, a Spurs tactic became obvious that I hadn't noticed in the cut and thrust of real time.

For the whole first half, an extra player, usually Emerson, would come inside and join the crowd defending the box. The effect was to push Chelsea and the ball wide, forcing them to sling in endless crosses to their big no. 9.

Oh. They don’t have one.
