I thought they zonal marked didn't they? That'll be why they have drilled at certain players being in certain positions regardless of who they are up against. It still baffles me how so many teams no longer have their full backs on front and back post regardless of who they are playing as it stops so many goals.

Might have to re-watch it again and see. On the replays it looked man to man and the analysis made it seem that way, so maybe a bit of both? Sterling was on Kane then just stood there as Kane came off the back and put the ball in.

With the squad Chelsea have I don't understand how Sterling is getting games.

Spot on. The problem is that Potter isn't good with this type of player. It's not a technical issue. It's a style of play and type of player that he is best at managing. Round hole in a square peg. He's a good coach but not the second coming.

I enjoyed watching Hasselbaink and Dawson arguing over the second goal. Both have different and strong views as to who was responsible with Daws arguing that Sterling switches off after the Dier flick on, whilst Hasselbaink saying that Chillwell should have pushed up the moment the flight of the ball made it obvious it was going to the 6 yard box. Essentially saying that he played Kane onside and allowed the flick on to be profitable.

I'm the opposite. We won in spite of the shoddy ref against that lot. It's an even better feeling with two academy lads scoring against a put together squad.

Emerson Royal was at least 30 yards away. If denverspur meant for kicking at Richarlison it’s possible but that’s not what he said. Either way, the initial foul by Ziyech was worth a yellow so he should have gone regardless of the downgrade

Sorry, I was referring to Havertz trying to kick Richarlison when I responded with the second and a half comment and Havertz received his yellow for that.

Even in trying to justify the decision, many people are incorrectly saying it was a foul by Havertz. It wasn't it was Ziyech and even if the raised hand is a yellow, so should the initial foul be. Dermot has in fact defended not giving the red by basically saying it should have been a further yellow for the initial foul, despite thinking it was a different player

He was magnificent yesterday so cool and calm plus it seemed every time a Chelsea player lost it and complained to the ref he was standing there a picture of innocence like "nothing to do with me guv"?

And after Thiago elbowed him early on! Think it has finally clicked that he needs to tone it down and keep calm, while not losing his edge completely.

Yes he booked Havertz - but that was barely a touch on Richarleson, whereas Ziyech’s lunge was worthy of a yellow. It should have been him who was booked not Havertz. What happens after with Emerson stupidly steaming in and barging Ziyech and the ensuing slap in the face ( I don’t buy the “he was pushing his shoulder and slipped off” bollocks, should have been yellow for both. Which would mean a red for Ziyech.

Never said Ziyech didn't deserve a yellow, just that the player Atwell was going to book when it all kicked off was likely Havertz and not Ziyech, because that was the foul that was initially given.

Had a few pints before the game to settle the nerves because I detest that shower and really wanted to win. Coming up the steps after half time, I was standing at the edge of my row and Skipp lashes it in. Me and the guy on the end of the row start shouting and without thinking, I grabbed him and hugged him.

So if you were grabbed by a big, fat Irish bloke in the East Upper, I do apologise. I did kinda enjoy it though so you'll have flowers and chocolates on your seat before the Forest game...
