Excellent professional performance against one of our jinx teams. Thought we were excellent all over the field in terms of workrate, with perhaps Kulu being a bit off it today. Skipp and Peh steady as a rock in the middle, the Emerson revival continues, has been reborn into Cafu, Romero a beast at the back and his comrades back there did not let him down today.
Kane scores again and Skipp steps up in Bentantcurs continued absence, scoring a cracker.
Great weekend, picking up points in close rivals, onwards and upwards Coys.
Perfect.

For me it was probably our best 90 minutes performance of the season. Not only did we play well and win comfortably but it was a great game to watch I hope we play that way for the rest of the season.

Marcus Edwards says hello.

Then Skipp.
Marcus Edwards season has tailed off. I would take Skipp ahead of him.

Reality is, however controversial an opinion, is that Winks is probably the best player we have produced since Kane. Skipp and Edwards certainly have the potential to surpass him but at the moment it's early days.

For me Skipp has the potential to become a key player and future captain. But where he ends up is anyone's guess. What I will say is that its great to have him back in the picture after such an unlucky year for him personally.

It doesn't matter now, because we won the game. But I was thinking about the Ziyech situation earlier. The referee had a yellow card in his hand (for Ziyech) after the foul on Richarlison. Then Ziyech slapped Emerson in the face and got a red card. But the clown changed it to a yellow card. Wasn't that his second yellow card and therefore a red card? What a clown referee haha.
The first yellow was for the Havertz tackle which he did give, not for Ziyech. When the straight red was changed to a yellow, Ziyech got that. Should have been a straight red but there were never two yellows on Ziyech.

About a second and a half before.
Emerson Royal was at least 30 yards away. If denverspur meant for kicking at Richarlison it’s possible but that’s not what he said. Either way, the initial foul by Ziyech was worth a yellow so he should have gone regardless of the downgrade

Given where Liverpool and Chelsea are this season - I will be shocked if both are not in the top-4 next season.

Next year, with their talent, but no CL distraction, they should both have a nice run in the league.
Yep last time Chelsea had a season like this, they went on to win the league the following year

First time since 2018 I've watched Spurs with my dad where we've won. It was becoming a curse we basically stopped watching together.

Still waiting to see Deki back to his best. He's on the edge of the game and a little more tentative than we know he can be.
Same. He’s a weird one, I thought he had some brilliant moments and a few moments of really poor play. He really looks like he lacks confidence currently.
I think a few times though enerson should have passed to him quickly rather than just ambling forward and holding onto the ball way too long. But I also think Deki needs to move more

What has “technically “ got to do with banter? Get your head out of you arse and enjoy the forum? One person’s agenda is another person’s witty opinion.

When you've been nothing but negative for months and months surely you can understand how people can't see the sarcasm in your posts when we win/are winning, or see it as banter. I've personally had you on ignore for ages because you seem to fail to see any positives at all in anything we do, and if you do see it you certainly don't really post it. You can dislike Conte and how we are playing but there have still been positives here and there. A bit more balance and you probably wouldn't see this kind of reaction to what is imo a harmless post.

All week people were going on about Dr Tottenham this and Dr Tottenham that. We beat Chelsea (no matter how poor they are) and some people still can't give us credit and be happy.

Honestly we were very good today. We were comfortable at the back keeping them at bay and took our chances.

What more do you want?
Completely agree. People live in this strange fifa world where we should blow every team away,
We played well, barely conceded chances and even though Chelsea aren’t scoring they usually create good quality chances,
We played some lovely football but lacked a bit in the final 3rd at times but there were so many positives.
So bored of people just being so bloody unhappy whether we win lose or draw, it’s like they want us to lose so they can kick off.
We’ve had 3 tough london derbies recently and not conceded a goal. It’s fantastic, we are 5 points ahead in 4th, FA Cup and Champions league to come.

I will keep saying it, but there is something deep rooted in some of this fanbase that everything has to have a negative slant. The mentality NEEDS to change. So many panicked prior to the match without giving us a chance, because of stuff that has happened in the past. Oh your striker hasn't scored yet? Dr Tottenham. Oh you're on a losing streak and need a pick me up? Dr Tottenham.

Dr Tottenham and Spursy are stains on this club and the fanbase. It's time we got rid of it and starting being more positive, because we have plenty to be positive about this season even with the off pitch stuff happening.

Also on a side FIFA note, you can't expect Potter to get that newly put together and bloated squad clicking instantly. It just doesn't happen in reality.

Liverpool will be a point behind us of they win their games in hand, Newcastle could push us into fifth.
IF. Everyone said they were back after two scabby wins last week and a great 15 minutes against Madrid. Not sure they've shown anything to suggest they can do that. One of their games in hand is v City too.

Random but thought it was funny how Ziyech ripped his finger tape off then was told he could play on.
He started tearing it off when the red was shown and I guess decided to finish the job of removing it rather than leaving it half undone.

Seeing sterling 'marking' Kane at the back post for the second is hilarious..

Between their players and manager. Who thought that was a good idea?
