I take your point entirely, so what do you suggest, because I honestly don't know what to suggest for the best ATM
I’d be happy to see us try 4:3:3, even if it crashed and burned, if it looked like we were trying to get the best out of our available players. Or 4:5:3. I’d be happy with any evidence that the bloke we’re paying a fucking fortune to pretend he’s managing our team knows more about tactics than a group of randomers on SC.

Rodders back in place of Winks and we’ve got a chance. Win or we’re surrendering 4th to them…. Highest stakes NLD for a while

That would have come across better if you hadn't suggested playing 13 players.

I think Doherty has earned a start for this match. I guess I'd go:

Lloris
Cuti - Dier - Davies
Doherty - PEH - Bent - Sess
Kulu - Kane - Son

Lloris
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - PEH - Bentancur- Reggie
Kulu - Kane - Son

I guess I'd settle for that, but with no great belief in that XI as a top 6 side. Really, I'd prefer Paskotsi and Bergwin as WBs, but that's just too unrealistic I know.
Need to wait till summer friendlies to experiment I guess

It's gonna be fecking freezing tonight so I hope we get a performance to keep me warm.
Important game for us but beginning to look massive for Everton who are one point above the relegation zone with Burnley having got themselves together and Leeds having sacked the manager and will undoubtedly become harder to beat.
This is one of their games in hand and you have to think they'll be fighting for their lives so it'll likely be a battle out there tonight.

Edit: apparently someone thinks this is off topic?

We definitely need to battle and win this - we’ve a run of testing games coming up after today: Man U away; Brighton away; West Ham home; then Newcastle home.

I have changed my mind ... Son needs to be dropped for his abysmal performance at Middlesbrough. As does Winks. WBs keep their places.
Lloris
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - PEH - Bentancur - Sessegnon
Kulu - Kane - Bergwijn

Have we not won in the league at home since beating Palace on boxing day?

That needs putting right tonight.

Need to really get behind the team...that's what makes it harder for the away team anyway.

Lampard found it easy to beat us with Chelsea when they weren't near as good as they are now. It'll annoy the fuck out of us if he can do it with this Everton side. But if we keep ceding midfield, both numerically or in terms of fighting spirit, then theres no reason another wolves and southampton result cant happen.

Come on Conte. Pull the finger out now without ranting and raving after it's too late and get this side ticking along like a proper team.

And its important we start with the tempo up. We normally always do well when we start well.

And the crowd gets really up for it then and it all just builds well.

Conte needs to fire them up to start on the front foot.

Sitting back and hitting teams on the counter is a great tactic, with our skill set, away at places like City.

At home to Everton we have to force them back, pen them in, with the crowd up for it and they'll make mistakes.

Sitting back allows them to grow in confidence etc

I normally don't like monday games but it was quite nice having a "weekend off". I think conte can outsmart lampard. (y)

We tend to lift ourselves for the 'bigger' teams. Shows a weak mentality but bodes well for tonight. I can see us winning this one.

This is our biggest problem and has been for a while.
Letting teams get on top, even shit teams, is never a good idea.
Go behind and you're fucked.

Have flown over from Denver to London for the first time in 15 years to go to the game tonight.

No away win for Everton since August in the PL so Dr.Tottenham has travelled over to be here in person and will officially be in the building.
