We deserved something from three game ffs

Considering the players we had out, we’ve played surprisingly well and deserve something out of the game.

Despite the naysayers, there’s reason to be optimistic for when the season restarts after the World Cup and even more so if we can bring a couple in this coming January

We never play like this unless we are loosing and in the second half. Although I’m sure the players play a large part I can’t help but feel there are tactical problems as well. Why did Conte take so long to make a sub as well.

Agree with this. We were good to watch that second half. I know hugo touched upon it mid week that when we go one nil down the other team gets more defensive making it easier for us but i’m not completely having that because before we go one nil down we can barely string 2 passes together all half, then second half we suddenly become a team that knows how to play. It’s as you said not only bizarre but incredibly frustrating!

I understand the consternation about the first half performances but I'll continue to harp on the fact that we don't have the legs to play for the full 90. This season has seen unprecedented fixture congestion and we don't have the players to rotate.

Conte's setup is capable of producing scintillating football. He just needs more tools at his disposal to manage playing twice per week.

Frustrating as it is, we’re 4th, we topped our champions league group, we have 4 first teamers out inured, compare this to same time last year.
But yeah it’s really annoying constantly losing to other big teams especially at home.

We have the quality as shown in the second as well as the heart as shown in the second. We just cant start tentaively as we keep doing. It keeps happening. We are a good side when we push up and spread play and press in the middle.

But it can only be deemed a positive performance if we actually start doing it before we have to start chasing the game.

Wrong tactic in the first half! We can't start to play in the second half, in every game. The referee was diabolical. We should have had two free-kicks just outside the box and a penalty! English referees are unbelievably poor!

We deserved a point. A much better 2nd half doesn’t paper over the toothless and error prone first half.

That’s 2 home defeats in a row and whereas we should have been consolidating about top 4 position we’re now in serious danger of falling out of the top 4.
