People are right when they say we were lucky to only be 2-1 down at HT, but Villa were lucky v us last week in the same regard. If you don't take your chances in this league then you run the risk of being caught out. We deserved something for the second half, but City will feel annoyed and frustrated after not putting us away in the first half.

They were the same against Liverpool, got in front and took the foot off the gas. They also went 2 down in the CL midweek. I think they are probably fatigued from last season, especially with how the narrative was all on Arsenals league to lose and then City came back and won it as we all expected, then they got the CL at long last.

I'm sure they will kick on but I think it was the perfect time for us to play them, even though we had injuries, they just don't seem like the usual City at the moment. 3 draws in a row, 8 goals conceded in those 3 games too.

I watched the game with a mate. Hes a Celtic fan but lives in Manchester. He brought his 11 year old along (kid kept crying all the time, weird).

Anyway, he reckons that Ange has a secret Meerkat farm just outside Dundee and that the MK’s are some of the most powerful in the world. Oh he likes skipp as it reminds him of his childhood back in Australia.

I honestly think the whole offside thing has been massively blown out of proportion, not helped by the pundits reaction to it. The ref is in constant comms with the assistant referee who I suspect said, looks offside and had Grealish some how managed to dribble the remaining 30 odd yards without getting tackled/fouled and scored, the assistant would have flagged and it would have gone to VAR, so the ref thought it wasn't going to be an advantage and blew his whistle. Obviously looking at the replays it was incredibly tight and I'm not 100% sure it was on or off, but the ref has to make a split second decision. He probably wishes it had played out, but I felt quite sorry for him

Ref blew for the earlier foul, not offside.

Are you sure about that? Only the ref knows why he blew and he's not talking. It could easily be because he thought he was offside and brought it back for the foul as there was no advantage. I would like to hear his version and not all the media opinions. Anyway who cares great game great result, fantastic second half from us and in the end we were the one's who were robbed.

Nah, there was no whistle. Mandela affect in action right there....

Unless you have misunderstood what I have written. I never said he blew for the offside. I suggested he was informed by his linesman it is offside, so there would be no advantage, so he stopped the game for the foul on Vigo

Heard one ex-pro last night suggest that the ref blew not because of City taking advantage of the play-on, but because our players had seen him put his whistle to his lips to blow and stopped running/covering so he had inadvertently created the advantage for them to play into… no idea myself.

The thing about being pessimistic is I've either right or pleasantly surprised.

I'm very pleasantly surprised about yesterdays result

BBC tried to make out the tweet was criticising the ref and he went too far. You then see the tweet and to me there is nothing in there.

No criticism there, just no fucking clue why happened.... The same as everyone one of us!
