That's a bizarre call from the ref, and literally the only thing I can think happened is that he put the whistle in his mouth to blow for the initial foul before Haaland got up properly, started to blow it and made a noise but then stopped himself as Haaland got up, but realised he'd already made some kind of whistle and felt obliged then to halt play.
Absolutely fucking hilarious decision. You love to see it.

Micah Richard’s idiot saying Vicario isn’t calm on the ball, lazy lazy punditry! 😡 “he let his team down” did he fuck.

Lazy clueless shit punditry but that’s par for the course on Sky Sports these days.

On another day it could have been different, we rode our luck heavily at times we all know, but sometimes if you keep plugging away and keep playing you get reward for it. Excellent application, for the (many) individual wobbles and errors at times we on the whole remained calm and composed and didn't fall apart, and managed to sneak a really good point and arrest the downturn in form, mood, and momentum.

Again I think today we saw that the foundations being put in place are really good ones. Even that patched up sub-optimal team frequently knocked the ball about really well and again today we put together plenty of attacking sequences to go right at the opposition. Arguably the last couple of games is the most we've put together consistently in games so far. What needs working on though is the final ball/decision - most times someone doesn't see the options available or chooses the wrong one. That might be work on the training ground, that might be upgrading individuals, but we're doing some really good stuff up to the final third.

There were some dodgy performances today, some others had a bit of a rollercoaster, but the team as a whole dug something out. Yes there does need to be a recalibration at times as to what we do in certain circumstances, and it will remain difficult in the next number of weeks with so many missing, but we're putting something decent together and just need to keep building and competing best we can at this point.

Fortunately all that happened was that he saved Grealish from looking silly as Ben Davies outpaced him and nicked it off his toe whilst giving him a wedgie.
Surely this calls for a retroactive yellow card?

So angry.. lol

The thing is. Yes he should have played on, yes Grealish was in behind and has a couple of yards headstart.

But Simon Hooper clearly knows Grealish is slow as fuck and that Ben Davies would've jogged past him (stopping only to hand his beer to Royal) and so he had no choice but to say advantage over

In all seriousness, Grealish is slow as fuck
Slower than Kulu in a one on one.

I wonder if he thought Grealish was offside.
