what’s he said?

he was asked if bringing Eriksen on helped the team. he sounded uncomfortable and i attributed it to not criticizing a fellow player. he said something along the lines "it's the managers decision...... in reality, he could have taken any one of us off the pitch at that point."

Lol at what?
Because we turned it around. First of all said we were lucky for the Kane first goal because the defender "went to sleep". Presenter mentioned the ball boy and compared it to the Liverpool corner v Barca and he changed his tune then.

Also said that Deles cross that found Serge was so lucky because it glanced off Sonnys head. His words were something to the effect of a wicked deflection.

There is something very specific that happens when a team that is 2-0 behind scores just before half time. Fuck knows it’s happened to us enough times. It’s an event we’ve seen in scores of matches and the team that was 2-0 up rarely wins.

It’s uniquely deflating, partly because it removes any sense of comfort, partly because it totally fucks up the manager’s planned HT talk and tactical adjustments, partly because it just gets in the players’ heads.

I’m finding it hard to think of a single example when this happened and the final score remained 2-1.

For 40 mins all I could think was how bad are West Ham. Defensively we were shite. But a great comeback in the end, and fair play to Jose, the change in the first half made a difference, and the game was gone if he hadn't.
Dele's goal was massive, Harry does what he does, Auriers finish was sublime, and Eriksen WON a tackle, and actually had his best game of the season..........COYS!

At first I thought he maybe didnt agree with the change, but then seemed to kick into media mode and said it could have been anyone as they all played so badly.

Nah, I just think he did'nt want to throw his mate under the bus.
Great bodyswerve though, reacted well and got out of the situation like a boss.

Olympiakos should finish 3 and play in the Europa League and I’m serious when I say this no joke, if they play Arsenal they can knock them out

They have a good manager with good players. They’re a good team

Whilst I liked then decisive early change, I thought bringing Eriksen on was a mistake. He didn’t do anything remainder of the first half to convince me otherwise either. He just looks bereft of interest and confidence. Misplaced passes, poor decisions. However, credit where it’s due, he found his mojo as the game went on and really started to force himself into the game, pushing the ball round nicely. If that’s the sign of things to come, that’d be a big lift.
Aurier looks much better going forward. Rose still worries me though, at times the game drifts by him. Centre backs got better as the game went on, nothing flash, but functional. Winks looked better as the game wore on, got turned over a few times in possession, but generally when someone had sold him short, and he got picked off trying to recover a loose ball. Ndombele showed an extra bit of power when placed in the same situation. I think we saw the need for a more dynamic DM, not all about just size and power, needs to be allied with mobility and technique.
Moura starting to show more moments of cutting edge, games are starting to pass him by a little less, but still needs to find another gear to fit right in with Kane and Son. Still wouldn’t mind seeing Lo Celso given a run there, maybe not the pace of Moura, but no slouch and seems way more technical.
All that aside, still some very positive signs.

You wouldn’t play him Saturday after his performance tonight?
Probably not, at least not until he's committed to the cause. Rather Lo Celso to be honest. If he wants to be gone in January, or whenever, we need to plan without him – as we have been doing this season.

We're already seeing measures made by Jose' which we never dreamt MoPo would ever do.

His imprint is already showing. Onward and upwards.

I was just thinking about all the talk of Jose loves Dier. Tonight proves he loves winning more. I never would have thought that a man that touted a player for such a long time, came in and had him starting games would actually sub him in the first half of a game.

My loyalty for Poch will never diminish but I think it's safe to say we would have lost this game with him at the helm
